SpaceX IPO Makes Elon Musk the World's First Trillionaire
Stocks closed broadly higher after one of the most hotly-anticipated IPOs of all time as Elon Musk's SpaceX went public, making Musk the world's first trillionaire in the process. The market advance was also driven by a combination of easing geopolitical fears, a sharp decline in oil prices, and continued enthusiasm around AI-related stocks.President Trump indicated that an Iran peace agreement could be signed as soon as this weekend, causing crude oil to tumble below $90 per barrel. Lower oil prices are helping calm inflation fears after this week's hotter-than-expected CPI and PPI reports. Markets are betting that if energy prices continue falling, some of the inflation pressure could ease in coming months.Get caught up quickly on the top news and calls moving stocks with these five Top Five lists.1. Zedge Reports Q3 Revenue of $8M
Reports Q3 revenue $8M vs. $7.8M last year. The company said, "In our third quarter, we continued to demonstrate that the core Zedge Marketplace business is resilient and becoming more efficient. Subscription revenue grew 32% year over year, and active subscriptions reached nearly 1.3 million, both continuing a multi-quarter trend. ARPMAU increased 21%, and Zedge Premium GTV increased 17%, reflecting the benefits of our ongoing focus on acquiring and retaining higher-value users. While total advertising revenue declined year over year, that decline was entirely attributable to Emojipedia, which we are managing for overall return in light of Google's changes to its search results page. Within the Zedge Marketplace, advertising revenue was essentially flat year over year, a resilient result given that the prior year benefited from a one-time integration bonus from an ad platform partner. Encouragingly, iOS revenue within the Zedge Marketplace grew 35% year over year, reinforcing our message that, as we attract and monetize higher-value users in premium markets, the quality of our revenue continues to improve. On the DataSeeds.AI front, I am excited to report that we fulfilled our first six-figure order this quarter stemming from an existing customer relationship with a leading technology company. At the same time, we are beginning to see interest from new prospects, which strengthens our confidence in this offernig. This milestone reflects our growing capacity to deepen customer relationships and scale production. While revenue remains lumpy at this stage, successfully delivering projects of this size, on spec and within tight timeframes, is a necessary capability for DataSeeds' future growth."
Zedge Increases Quarterly Cash Dividend by 25% to 2 Cents per Share
Zedge announced that its board of directors has approved a 25% increase to its quarterly cash dividend, from 1.6c to 2c per share. The record date is April 6 and the payment date is April 15.
Zedge Reports Increasing Demand for Dataseeds.AI Services
Zedge announced growing demand for Dataseeds.AI, its B2B offering that provides developers of foundational AI models and enterprises with a source of scalable, commercial-grade on-demand, rights-cleared image datasets for AI training. Customers include leading AI companies. Jonathan Reich, Zedge's CEO, commented: "Zedge's global creator community is a key differentiator for DataSeeds.AI's ability to deliver custom image datasets at scale. When a recent client required images of common objects and how they appear in their native setting across 20 countries, we fulfilled the order by tapping our existing catalog and search capabilities, and launching a targeted GuruShots photo challenge aligned with the customer's specifications to further build out the dataset. Our engineers have also strengthened the platform's search to identify content that may be peripheral to an image's primary subject. These strengths make DataSeeds.AI relevant to enterprises beyond technology companies that need authentic, high-quality content at scale."
