vTv Therapeutics Completes Enrollment in CATT1 Trial
"Completing enrollment in the Phase 3 CATT1 trial is a significant milestone for vTv, and we look forward to reporting topline results in mid 2027," said Paul Sekhri, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of vTv Therapeutics. "In October we also randomized the first participant in Hybrid CATT1, our Phase 2a study of cadisegliatin in people with T1D who use hybrid closed-loop insulin delivery systems. As the experts at our KOL event made clear, hypoglycemia and its broader impact on blood glucose control remain a persistent burden for people with T1D even with the most advanced insulin delivery technology, and cadisegliatin aims to address exactly that."
vTv Therapeutics Randomizes First Participant in T1D Study
vTv Therapeutics announced that the first participant has been randomized in its Phase 2a Hybrid CATT1 pilot study evaluating cadisegliatin in individuals with T1D who use hybrid closed-loop, or HCL, insulin delivery systems. The company expects the results to provide insight into cadisegliatin's potential in this growing segment of the T1D population and to inform additional clinical studies.
S&P 500 Ends Three-Day Gain as 10-Year Treasury Yield Hits New High
S&P 500 broke a string of three consecutive gaining sessions, backing away from yesterday's record highs. Investors took greater caution as the yield on the 10-year Treasury note hit a fresh 24-year high of 5.36% before relatively strong demand in today's 10-year auction drove that rate back down to 5.28%, driving some relief into the equity space.Healthcare was the best-performing sector in the S&P 500 on Wednesday while Basic Materials and Industrials were the two worst areas of the market. vTv Therapeutics HPPD Receives FDA Orphan Drug Designation
vTv Therapeutics announced that the FDA has granted Orphan Drug Designation to HPPD, the company's oral Nrf2/Bach1 modulator. HPPD is being investigated as a treatment for sickle cell disease. "The FDA's Orphan Drug Designation reinforces both the urgency of the unmet need in this devastating disease and the opportunity to bring forward potential new therapeutic approaches," said Paul Sekhri, chairman, president, and CEO of vTv Therapeutics. "Receiving this designation marks an important inflection point for this program and strengthens vTv's ability to advance strategic partnering discussions for HPPD while continuing to develop cadisegliatin in T1D."
vTv Therapeutics Completes Enrollment of 166 Patients in Cadisegliatin Study
vTv Therapeutics announced on October 5 that the company has completed enrollment of its Phase 3 Cadisegliatin as Adjunctive Therapy in Type 1 Diabetes study. A total of 166 patients have been randomized in the study evaluating cadisegliatin, a potential first-in-class oral, liver-selective glucokinase activator that has received Breakthrough Therapy designation from the FDA as an adjunctive therapy to insulin for the treatment of T1D. "Completing enrollment for the CATT1 study is a significant milestone for vTv, and we're deeply grateful to the study participants whose commitment made this possible. Cadisegliatin has the potential to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia, which remains a significant unmet need for people living with T1D, and we look forward to completing the study and reporting topline results in mid 2027," said Paul Sekhri, chairman, president and CEO of vTv Therapeutics.
