AbCellera Biologics Launches $200M Public Offering

AbCellera Biologics announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of $200M of its common shares and, in lieu of common shares to certain investors, pre-funded warrants to purchase its common shares. All of the common shares and pre-funded warrants are being offered by AbCellera. AbCellera intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to fund the continued research, development and clinical advancement of its internal pipeline, including its lead clinical program, ABCL635, as well as for working capital and other general corporate purposes. Jefferies, J.P. Morgan, Cantor, UBS Investment Bank, and BMO Capital Markets are acting as joint book-running managers for the proposed offering.

AbCellera Q2 Revenue $4.1M, Below Consensus

Reports Q2 revenue $4.1M, consensus $7.85M. "Last quarter we completed enrollment for the Phase 2 study of ABCL635, and we expect to announce top-line data very soon," said Carl Hansen, Ph.D., founder and CEO of AbCellera. "Since our last business update we signed two new collaborations, one with Jazz and one with Vertex, that leverage our T-cell engager platform to advance programs into the clinic and are adding over $100 million in upfront cash to our balance sheet."
