Polyrizon Files New Patent Application to Expand Technology
Polyrizon announced that it has filed a new U.S. divisional patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, or USPTO, further expanding the company's intellectual property portfolio relating to its proprietary mucoadhesive technology. The new application is part of Polyrizon's broader patent family covering its proprietary mucoadhesive polymer technology. The technology is based on polymeric compositions designed for application to mucosal surfaces and capable of forming a continuous and durable layer upon contact with mucosal tissue.
Polyrizon Enrolls First Patient in NASARIX Clinical Study
Polyrizon announced the enrollment of the first patient in its U.S. clinical study to evaluate NASARIX, the Company's investigational Allergy Blocker, in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis. Polyrizon Enters $4 Million Financing Agreement with Institutional Investor
Polyrizon announced that it has entered into definitive agreements with a single institutional investor for the purchase and sale of its Ordinary Shares and pre-funded warrants in a registered direct offering. In a concurrent private placement, the Company also agreed to sell to the same investor pre-funded and investor warrants. Aggregate gross proceeds to the Company from both transactions are expected to be approximately $4.0 million. Aegis Capital Corp. is acting as exclusive placement agent for the offerings.
Polyrizon Completes Contracts for Nasarix Clinical Study
Polyrizon announced that it has completed contracting with the fourth and fifth clinical sites participating in its clinical study of Nasarix Allergy Blocker. With the execution of these final agreements, Polyrizon has completed the contracting with all five U.S. clinical sites selected for the study, marking an important operational milestone and moves the Nasarix program into study execution. The planned first-in-human study is a prospective, multicenter, randomized, single-blind, two-arm clinical trial designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of Nasarix in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis. The study is designed to enroll up to 120 randomized patients, with subjects assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either Nasarix Allergy Blocker or an isotonic saline nasal spray control.

Polyrizon has completed contracting with the fourth and fifth clinical sites participating in its clinical study of NASARIX Allergy Blocker. With the execution of these final agreements, Polyrizon has now completed the contracting process with all five clinical sites selected to participate in the study, marking an important operational milestone in the advancement of the NASARIX clinical program. The planned first-in-human study is a prospective, multicenter, randomized, single-blind, two-arm clinical trial designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of NASARIX in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis. The study is designed to enroll up to 120 randomized patients, with subjects assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either NASARIX Allergy Blocker or an isotonic saline nasal spray control. The study's primary efficacy endpoint will evaluate the difference between the treatment groups in mean daily reflective Total Nasal Symptom Score over the first 14 treatment days. Safety assessments will include the frequency and severity of treatment-emergent adverse events as well as assessments of local and overall tolerability. Secondary efficacy measures are expected to include instantaneous Total Nasal Symptom Score, rhinoconjunctivitis-related quality of life, the number of symptom-free days, and use of permitted relief medication. Following completion of the clinical site contracting process, Polyrizon is advancing the study into the next stage of execution, including patient pre-screening activities and preparations for enrollment. Because the study evaluates seasonal allergic rhinitis under real-world allergen exposure conditions, patient enrollment is planned to coincide with the relevant allergy seasons. Local pollen counts and weather conditions will be monitored to assess airborne allergen exposure and support the timing of recruitment.
