Minerva Appoints Jim O'Connor as Chief Business Officer
Minerva announced a leadership transition with the appointment of Jim O'Connor as chief business officer, effective April 21, as Geoff Race, the company's president, has elected to leave the company. Race will continue to be involved with Minerva as a consultant. O'Connor most recently served at Axena Health.

Minerva Neurosciences to Initiate Phase 3 Trial for Roluperidone
"Strengthened by the recent financing and our general alignment with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") on trial design, we are working towards initiation of the confirmatory Phase 3 trial with roluperidone for the treatment of negative symptoms of schizophrenia in the second quarter," said Dr. Remy Luthringer, Chairman and CEO of Minerva Neurosciences. "With the $80 million upfront proceeds and the exercise proceeds from the Tranche A warrants, we anticipate sufficient funds to complete the Phase 3 trial and resubmission of the New Drug Application ("NDA") ahead of the launch of roluperidone in the United States, if approved."
Dow and S&P Futures Dip Marginally, Nasdaq Flat
In the opening hour of the evening session, equity futures are down marginally, with Dow Industrials and S&P e-minis off by a decimal while Nasdaq 100 contract is trading flat. In commodities, WTI Crude Oil is little changed after API inventory data saw its first build in multiple weeks, while precious metals have broken out to fresh record highs - Gold above $4,525 and Silver approaching $72 per ounce.Treasuries traded mixed with conflicting data in the form of much stronger than expected Q3 GDP and a much more recent cautionary story from December Conference Board Consumer Confidence report, which fell to its lowest level since the "tariff tantrum" in April - the yield on the 10-year Treasury ended around 4.17% after reaching 4.20% earlier.New record high close in the S&P 500 index was paced by Communication Services and Technology sectors, while Staples lagged once again. Nvidiawas especially strong with a 3% advance, though the stock still trades off by over 10% from its highs in October.
