LoanDepot Opens New Corporate Center in Miami
LoanDepot announced plans to open a new corporate center in Miami, expanding its national footprint and establishing an East Coast hub. The Miami center will house technology, marketing, recruiting, and other corporate support functions, along with mortgage fulfillment roles from the company's direct lending, retail, and partnership lending channels. Scheduled to open in September, the center will initially accommodate 120 employees, with additional capacity to support future growth. The Miami location expands LoanDepot's network of corporate centers, which include Irvine, California; Southfield, Michigan; Plano, Texas; Scottsdale, Arizona and Chandler, Arizona.
Randian Capital Calls for LoanDepot to Consider Strategic Alternatives
Randian Capital, a retail activist investment firm, and a shareholder of LoanDepot, announced that it has published an open letter to the board, calling for them to consider evaluating strategic alternatives for the company. "We are today calling for loanDepot's Board to consider pursuing strategic alternatives for the company to maximize shareholder value. Including common stock and options, Randian and its affiliates currently have economic exposure to over 250,000 shares of loanDepot," the firm announced in a press release. LoanDepot shares are up 4c to $1.16 in early trading.
loanDepot Appoints Joseph Grassi as Chief Legal and Risk Officer
loanDepot announced that Chief Risk Officer Joseph Grassi has been promoted to Chief Legal and Risk Officer. As Chief Legal and Risk Officer, Grassi leads loanDepot's legal strategy, corporate governance and legal affairs, as well as the Company's regulatory compliance, loan quality and enterprise risk management functions. He reports directly to loanDepot Founder and CEO Anthony Hsieh.

At the same time, we made meaningful progress behind the scenes on our long-term initiatives by expanding our revenue-generating capabilities, improving operating leverage, and driving marketing efficiency.
