American Express Becomes Official Payments Partner of St Andrews Links
American Express announced it is adding the illustrious St Andrews Links to its sports partnership portfolio. American Express will be the Official Payments Partner of one of the world's most prestigious golf destinations. With American Express' large international presence, the partnership will help to make St Andrews accessible to more golfers and Card Members from around the world. The Amex-exclusive application process will open August 26 for eligible Centurion Members and on September 2 for eligible Platinum Card Members, in select countries. It will conclude on September 9, prior to the upcoming 2026 Swilcan Package - St Andrews' annual application process to access advanced tee times, which remains open to all.
American Express Launches Virtual Cards to Simplify Payments
American Express announced new capabilities to help U.S. commercial customers simplify payments and give them more options to manage spending in their financial software of choice with American Express Virtual Cards. Amex Corporate customers can now create, manage and use Amex Virtual Cards in Amex's software platform, which customers can use to manage their Corporate Program. In addition, customers who use Amex's Business Travel Account with Virtual Payments can now create, manage and use Amex Virtual Cards with solutions from Conferma.

Reports Q2 revenue $101.81B vs. $92.52B last year. Berkshire acquired approximately $4.5B in treasury shares during the second quarter of 2026, bringing the six-month total to about $4.8B.
