New Horizon Aircraft announced it has signed a Letter of Intent, LOI, with V-Star Powered Lift Aviation, an Australian-based aircraft operator specializing in advanced power-lift aircraft, to purchase 5 Cavorite X7 hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft with options to purchase up to an additional 95 aircraft. V-Star intends to secure the delivery slots for these 5 aircraft with a firm deposit upon execution of the definitive agreement.
Horizon Aircraft Selects Beta Technologies for Flight Control Computers
Horizon Aircraft (HOVR) has selected Beta Technologies (BETA) to supply its advanced flight control computers on the company's full-scale hybrid-electric VTOL - Vertical Take-Off and Landing - aircraft, the Cavorite X7. Through this partnership, Horizon Aircraft will integrate BETA's fly-by-wire flight control hardware and customized software into the Cavorite X7 as the company advances aircraft development, testing, and certification activities.
New Horizon Aircraft Appoints Richard Alexander as Chief Engineer
New Horizon Aircraft (HOVR) announces that Richard Alexander has been appointed Chief Engineer of Certified Programs of Horizon Aircraft as the Company advances its certification strategy, engineering maturation, and commercialization planning for its hybrid-electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing aircraft, the Cavorite X7. Richard will combine his experience with that of the Company's Co-Founder, Brian Robinson, to help deliver an operationally ready and certifiable aircraft. He most recently served as CAE's (CAE) Electric Aircraft Integrator leading the battery-electric conversion of the Piper Archer training aircraft.
New Horizon Aircraft Advances Hybrid-Electric VTOL Certification
New Horizon Aircraft announces that through its close, ongoing partnership with Flight Centre of Excellence the Company has advanced the dual-use certification pathway for its hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft. Horizon Aircraft has been targeting dual-use certification from the beginning, "recognizing that a high-speed, quieter VTOL aircraft would significantly improve both civil and defense missions," the company said.
