Myseum.AI CEO Believes Picture Party Arrives at the Right Moment

In an exclusive interview, Myseum.AI'sCEO Darin Myman spoke with The Fly about the company's privacy first approach to consumer AI, the growing backlash against data hungry social platforms, and why he believes Picture Party is arriving at exactly the right moment.THE COMPANY:Myseum.AI as a "privacy‑first social media technology company that makes it easier and more fun to share without sacrificing privacy," Myman explained to The Fly. Its flagship platform, Picture Party, lets users instantly create private social networks for any occasion, from weddings and trips to small gatherings or large events."Picture Party is the easier, more fun and private way to share your photos, videos and messages for groups of 2 to 10,000," he says. The platform is free, supports unlimited private networks, and is designed to give each group its own safe, dedicated space.PRIVACY GAP:Myseum.AI's CEO says the rise of consumer AI has opened a major privacy gap, one most users don't realize exists. "We see a tremendous opportunity that is growing exponentially with the adoption of AI," he explains. In many cases, when people use AI tools to edit or manage photos and videos, "your personal media would become part of the AI knowledge base."He points to Instagram's recent controversy as a clear example. The platform rolled out an AI feature that let users tag public profiles to generate images using their likenesses, automatically opting in public accounts by default. The backlash was immediate, and the feature was quickly pulled."Yes, they pulled it back, but their AI has been trained on your personal data for years," Myman says.STRATEGIC COLLABORATIONS:Myman says the company is focused on speeding up development of its privacy‑first AI tools through a mix of internal innovation and external collaboration. "Our goal is to accelerate our privacy‑first AI tool development through both in‑house development and strategic partnerships," he explains. One of those partnerships is with Scanon.ai, which brings AI‑powered content moderation and computer vision into Picture Party. Myseum.AI also recently secured AWSfunding to advance "privacy‑first AI media management tools with Caylent, a premier partner of AWS."SOCIAL EXPERIENCES:The executive believes consumer behavior is already signaling a major shift in how people want to share online. "There is a very strong resentment starting to take hold and social media users are starting to demand privacy," he explains. At the same time, governments are beginning to introduce regulations that "should have been put in place years ago."Against that backdrop, he believes Myseum.AI is well positioned. "Right now, we believe we are perfectly positioned with our patented Picture Party platform to take significant market share by addressing not only privacy, but making it more fun, easier and more convenient to share."NOT ANOTHER FACEBOOK:According to Myman, the biggest misconception he hears from both consumers and investors is the assumption that Myseum.AI is just another Facebook‑stylesocial network. "The number one question is usually 'How are you different from Facebook?'" he says. His answer is blunt. "It was great in the beginning, and I joined to connect with people I know, but now they show me everything except my friends. Their algorithms that allow them to maximize ad revenue are at the expense of user experience." He points to the familiar experience of watching one dog video and suddenly being served an endless feed of them. "Just because I watch a dog video, doesn't mean that's all I want to see in my feed."For Myman, the timing is ideal. "We believe that the timing could not be more perfect for Picture Party by Myseum.AI. It's time to break‑up with Facebook."Meet the Company is The Fly's recurring series of exclusive short interviews with Executive Officers to offer a deeper look inside the company.
