Starfighters Space Advances STARLAUNCH 1 for December Flight Test
Starfighters Space announced it is advancing STARLAUNCH 1 toward a planned December captive-carry flight. STARLAUNCH is the Company's air-launch program, with STARLAUNCH 1 serving as its initial suborbital development vehicle. "The planned captive-carry flight would move STARLAUNCH 1 from design and ground-based development into flight testing," said Tim Franta, CEO of Starfighters Space. "Our approach is deliberately incremental: build the hardware, integrate it with the aircraft, fly it, collect data, and use those results to advance toward separation and powered flight. This work on STARLAUNCH 1 is also expected to generate engineering and operational experience to inform the future development of STARLAUNCH 2."

Starfighters and Vaya Defense Sign MOU for Collaboration
Starfighters Space and Vaya Defense & Space announced entering into a memorandum of understanding, MOU, to explore collaboration on supersonic captive-carry flight testing and air-launch propulsion. The MOU includes two collaboration tracks. Under the first collaboration track, the companies plan to evaluate flying Vaya hypersonic test articles and other payloads on Starfighters' Wind Tunnel in the Sky service, which uses F-104 aircraft to expose hardware to sustained Mach 2+ flight conditions for technology validation and maturation. Under the second collaboration track, the parties plan to assess whether Vaya's hybrid propulsion is suitable for STARLAUNCH, Starfighters' air-launch system, beginning with suborbital missions.
Starfighters Space Signs MOU with Bionetics Corporation
Starfighters Space announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, with The Bionetics Corporation to integrate and process a series of pathfinder small payloads for missions aboard the Company's F-104 aircraft. Under the MOU, Bionetics will work with Starfighters to prepare multiple classes of small payloads, including their pre-flight and post-flight assembly, testing, integration, and data retrieval, using Bionetics' specialized laboratories, equipment, and personnel within the Space Life Sciences Lab at the Cape Canaveral Spaceport. Located at the Cape Canaveral Spaceport, just nine miles from Starfighters' hangar, the Space Life Sciences Lab is a 104,000-square-foot facility with dozens of laboratories that support NASA and commercial space activities, including processing microsatellites and conducting spaceflight experiments. Both Starfighters and Bionetics are housed within the facility, which is also home to Space Florida, multiple universities, and other space companies.
