bioAffinity Advances CyPath Lung Test for Lung Cancer Recurrence Monitoring
bioAffinity Technologies is advancing the potential application of its CyPath Lung test for surveillance of lung cancer patients who have completed curative-intent treatment. Even when patients have no evidence of disease following surgery or radiation, published studies report recurrence rates of approximately 20% to 55% for non-small cell lung cancer. The American Society of Clinical Oncology recommends surveillance imaging every six months for two years following curative-intent treatment of stage I-III NSCLC, followed by annual low-dose CT to monitor for new primary lung cancers. The potential role of CyPath Lung in recurrence surveillance builds on the test's ability to analyze the lung microenvironment in real time. Drawing on three years of commercial experience, CyPath Lung has shown promising clinical performance in helping physicians stratify malignancy risk and guide patient management.

bioAffinity Publishes Clinical Review on CyPath Lung
bioAffinity Technologies announced the publication of a comprehensive clinical review and white paper authored by Chief Medical Officer Gordon Downie, MD, PhD, that presents a practical clinical framework for incorporating CyPath Lung into pulmonary nodule evaluation and cancer surveillance. Titled "Lung Nodules, Lung Microenvironment, Predictive Models and Clinician Risk Stratification Using CyPath Lung Testing for Early Diagnosis of Lung Cancer," the paper examines the growing clinical challenge of evaluating pulmonary nodules as lung cancer screening expands, incidental findings increase, artificial intelligence identifies even more incidental nodules, and more patients require long-term surveillance following cancer treatment.
