Shutterstock Launches Connector in Claude
Shutterstock announced the launch of its connector in Anthropic's Claude. The connector allows users to access Shutterstock's high-quality, licensable content directly within Claude, the company noted. "Customers are increasingly using AI-native tools concurrently with their traditional creative tools, but these systems are still largely disconnected, and not solving for the commercial-ready outcomes our customers need. We're breaking down that divide so customers can strategize, ideate, create, iterate, license, and finalize work with less toggling, more control, and greater confidence. For us, it's about meeting our Shutterstock customers where they are," said Paul Teall, Vice President, Marketplace Strategy at Shutterstock.

Reports Q2 revenue $221.8M vs. $267M last year. Commenting on the company's performance, Rik Powell, the company's Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, said, "Following the termination of our proposed merger, we have moved quickly to strengthen our balance sheet, reduce our cost structure, and sharpen our focus on the areas with the greatest potential and are approaching every aspect of the business with discipline and urgency. We have taken significant cost actions over the past 18 months that equate to over $70 million of annualized run-rate operating expense reductions and are targeting an additional $60 million in annualized run-rate operating expense reductions by the end of the year. These actions will give us greater optionality in our capital allocation strategy."
