Q1 Revenue Reaches $30.3M, Up from Last Year
Reports Q1 revenue $30.3M vs. $27.3M last year. The decrease in earnings reflected flat margins and higher costs for personnel, IT, property taxes and depreciation, which were partially offset by lower interest expense. "Our distribution system performed superbly this quarter," said CEO Paul Nester. "Temperatures fluctuated significantly, averaging to colder than a year ago. However, we did not have the sustained cold period that we experienced last year as reflected in margin. Our steady customer growth has continued with new housing as well as a higher-than-normal number of reconnections this quarter."
RGC Resources increases yearly dividend by 4.8% to 87 cents, up from 83 cents per share.
The Board of Directors of RGC Resources, at its meeting on November 24, declared a quarterly dividend of 21.75c per share on the company's common stock. The indicated annual dividend is 87c per share, a 4c, or 4.8% per share increase over the prior annual level. The Company has now increased the annual dividend 22 consecutive years. Paul Nester, CEO of RGC Resources, Inc., stated, "The Board's decision to increase the annual dividend rate reflects the strong fiscal 2025 earnings and operational performance as well as confirmation of the company's strategy to prudently invest in the Roanoke Gas utility and the MVP expansion projects. This dividend increase reflects our commitment to deliver long-term shareholder value." The dividend will be paid on February 2, 2026 to shareholders of record on January 16, 2026. This is the company's 327th consecutive quarterly cash dividend.
