Quantum BioPharma Receives FDA Approval for Lucid-MS to Enter Phase 2 Trials
Quantum BioPharma announced that the FDA has approved the company's investigational new drug, or IND, application for Lucid-MS, enabling Quantum BioPharma to immediately advance its patented multiple sclerosis program into Phase 2 clinical development. This will be the first time in history patients with MS consume the unique Lucid-MS new chemical entity molecule with a goal of reversing some or all of their loss of bodily control or mobility. Trial start-up activities, including site selection, are already underway, and the company expects to initiate patient enrollment and drug administration as quickly as possible.

Quantum BioPharma announced that it has entered into a binding letter of intent with Allucent to support the planned Phase 2 clinical trial of Lucid-MS for the treatment of multiple sclerosis. The planned Phase 2 trial will evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of Lucid-MS in people with MS. Quantum BioPharma expects to initiate the Phase 2 trial in the second quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and finalization of the clinical trial design and operational arrangements. Under the terms of the LOI, Allucent will provide comprehensive clinical trial services designed to support efficient execution and data integrity throughout the study.
