PowerBank Enters Fee for Service Development Agreement with Ontario

PowerBank Corporation announces that it has entered into a Fee for Service Development Agreement with 1001634281 Ontario, connected with the Electric Vehicle & Green Energy Advancement Association Canada. Under the Agreement, PowerBank will provide services for the early development of a battery energy storage project opportunity to be submitted under the Independent Electricity System Operator Second Long-term procurement request for proposals. If a contract is granted under the LT2(c2) program, PowerBank will enter into a fee-for-service agreement to bring the contract to the notice-to-proceed stage, which would be achieved upon full permitting. The Company will also have the right of first refusal to be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction provider for the project, should a contract be granted. PowerBank will also assist 10001634281 Ontario Inc. with exploring a potential 18 MW BESS in Hamilton, Ontario.

PowerBank Appoints Nicole Rusaw as CFO

PowerBank announced the appointment of Nicole Rusaw as CFO, effective immediately. Rusaw succeeds Sam Sun and will oversee the Company's financial strategy as PowerBank continues to scale its North American energy infrastructure platform and expand into new growth areas, including supporting digital infrastructure. Rusaw is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant (Ontario) and holds a Bachelor of Accounting, Co-op, with First Class Honours from Brock University.

PowerBank Completes Environmental Permitting for Brooklyn Community Solar Project

PowerBank announced that the 6.86 MW Brooklyn ground-mounted community solar project has completed environmental permitting. The Project is now prepared to proceed with construction, which PowerBank expects to begin in the fall of 2026. The Project is owned and funded by AI Renewable Flow-through Fund; PowerBank is the lead developer, earning development revenue with no capital required from PowerBank. The total cost for the development and construction of the Project is expected to be C$14M. It is eligible to receive up to C$2.639M in tax credits through the Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit offered by the Canadian federal government. In August of 2025, the Project received a C$960K grant from Net Zero Atlantic and an additional C$960K grant from the Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways Program offered by the Government of Canada has been approved. Over the lifetime of the Project, it is expected to generate approximately $3.86M in electricity savings for the local community in Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.
