Associated Grocers Northeast Selects ReposiTrak Traceability Network
ReposiTrak announced that Associated Grocers Northeast has selected the ReposiTrak Traceability Network to launch its traceability program. The cooperative supports its members with wholesale distribution, merchandising support, marketing services, retail programs and business resources designed to help independent retailers compete and grow. Through the ReposiTrak Traceability Network, Associated Grocers Northeast will begin collecting, validating and managing supplier traceability data to support regulatory readiness and strengthen supply chain transparency across its supplier community.
ReposiTrak Launches Warehouse-Delivered Supplier Model
ReposiTrak announced that the first warehouse-delivered supplier is live with a major retailer on ReposiTrak SBT 2.0. Under the new program, the supplier ships products through the retailer's warehouse and distribution network while retaining ownership of the inventory until each product is scanned and sold at the retail register. "Scan-based Trading is not limited to suppliers delivering directly to stores," said Randy Fields, chairman and CEO of ReposiTrak. "This successful launch demonstrates that the financial and operational benefits of SBT can also be extended to warehouse-delivered products. The retailer does not have to purchase and finance the inventory before it sells, while the supplier gains direct visibility into store-level sales and inventory movement."
Capital City Fruit Completes Touchless Traceability
ReposiTrak announced that Capital City Fruit has completed Touchless Traceability through its distribution center operations using the ReposiTrak Traceability Network. Capital City Fruit, based in Norwalk, Iowa, is a grower, shipper, repacker and supply chain manager of fresh fruits and vegetables serving customers with fresh produce, repacking, distribution and supply chain services. By completing Touchless Traceability through its DC operations, Capital City Fruit is now able to create and maintain traceability records across product movement without requiring case scanning at receiving, putaway, picking or shipping.
Piggly Wiggly Joins ReposiTrak Traceability Network
ReposiTrak announced that Piggly Wiggly Alabama Distributing Company has joined the ReposiTrak Traceability Network to support traceability across all food categories. The company selected ReposiTrak to support traceability beyond products included on the FDA Food Traceability List, reflecting a broader view that traceability is becoming both a compliance requirement and a competitive advantage.
