SNDL Q3 Results Show Improvement in Financial Performance
"Our Q3 results demonstrate improvement in SNDL's underlying financial performance, including positive adjusted operating income and record quarterly free cash flow generation," said CEO Zach George. "Cannabis Retail delivered record quarterly revenue and gross margin, Liquor Retail also reached a new record quarterly gross margin, and our Investments segment benefited from improved results from equity-accounted investees. Cannabis Operations remained below expectations and recorded a non-cash impairment. While the quarter was impacted by inventory issues arising from the first half, we are taking decisive action to simplify the portfolio, reduce costs and concentrate resources on product categories where SNDL's manufacturing capabilities, distribution reach and retail insights can support sustainable returns. The benefits of the actions taken during the quarter are expected to begin contributing to results in Q4. In addition to these immediate actions, the company is initiating a strategic review of the Cannabis Operations segment to assess opportunities to improve its financial performance. The completion of the restructuring of Surterra Holdings..and the subsequent rights offering.. represent important steps in resetting Parallel's capital structure and providing liquidity to support inventory, product availability and critical supply-chain infrastructure...The recently announced potential $50 million substantial issuer bid ("SIB") is a further step toward accelerating capital returns and reducing our outstanding share count".
SNDL Q2 Results Show Market Softness, Expected Annual Revenue Over $1B
"Our Q2 results reflect the impact of continued market softness across our core operating segments, as well as temporary production inefficiencies," said CEO Zach George. "While these near-term factors pressured revenue and operating income, we remain focused on disciplined execution, cost optimization, and the strategic initiatives that we believe will strengthen SNDL's competitive position over time...With $183.2M of unrestricted cash and no debt as of June 30, 2026, and an active share repurchase program, we remain focused on allocating capital where we believe it will generate the highest long-term returns for shareholders...The completion of the restructuring of Surterra Holdings and certain of its affiliates marks a significant milestone for SNDL...we expect to gain direct control of Parallel's medical cannabis operations in Florida, Texas, and Massachusetts in the coming months. Parallel is expected to generate annualized revenue of approximately $150M in the near term. Combined with its accretive margin profile, this transaction positions SNDL as a leading vertically integrated cannabis operator, with the potential to exceed $1B in annual revenue and become the largest cannabis retailer in North America by store count".
SNDL Cancels Acquisition of Ontario Retail Locations
SNDL announced that the transaction relating to the acquisition of the remaining 1CM Ontario retail locations is not expected to proceed following a prolonged regulatory review process that extended beyond commercially reasonable timelines contemplated by the parties. The provincial regulatory approvals required in Ontario to complete the Second Closing will not likely be obtained prior to the outside date of May 31, and as such, the Second Closing is not expected to proceed. SNDL completed the first closing under the A&R Arrangement Agreement, pursuant to which SNDL acquired five cannabis retail stores located in Alberta and Saskatchewan from 1CM. That transaction was completed and remains unaffected by this update. SNDL intends to reallocate the capital previously reserved for the Ontario acquisition toward share repurchases under its existing share repurchase program which authorizes SNDL to repurchase up to $100M of its outstanding common shares through November 20. Under SNDL's current Share Repurchase Program, SNDL has repurchased more than 5.5 million shares since March 31, valued at approximately $11.1M.
SNDL CEO Anticipates Improvement in Cannabis Market in H2 2026
"Beyond the normal seasonality that impacts the first quarter each year, Q1 2026 was particularly challenging, driven primarily by market softness across our business segments and operating territories," said Zach George, Chief Executive Officer of SNDL. "While remaining focused on our strategic priorities and anticipating an improvement in the cannabis market in the second half of the year, we are not standing still. We are proactively adjusting our commercial execution and cost structure to reflect the reality of current market conditions."
SNDL Reports Q4 Revenue of $252.5M
Reports Q4 revenue $252.5M vs. $257.68M last year. "2025 represents another step forward in financial performance and strategic focus for SNDL. We are pleased to report new records across our income statement and free cash flow, while continuing to transform our business to support long-term, sustainable, and profitable growth," said CEO Zach George. "We are strengthening our performance culture and organizational capabilities, providing a solid foundation as we continue to raise the bar toward our vision of becoming a global leader in our industry."
