Atomera Enters Joint Development Agreement with IQE
Atomera announced it has entered into a Joint Development Agreement with IQE plc, the global supplier of compound semiconductor wafer products and advanced material solutions, to bring high-performance, cost-effective RF GaN to market. The collaboration leverages Atomera's recently announced application of Mears Silicon Technology to silicon substrates for RF GaN and IQE's compound semiconductor epitaxy expertise. Under the agreement, the companies will collaborate to demonstrate GaN epitaxy on Atomera's MST-enabled silicon wafers. With an initial focus on RF GaN-on-silicon applications, the work aims to demonstrate best-in-class linearity and loss for high-volume RF markets. Atomera and IQE anticipate a multi-cycle development process, with engineering teams from both companies working together to optimize the multi-layer structure to identify the highest-performing RF material. The JDA also leaves room for the companies to expand their work, both to further refine RF GaN and to pursue other GaN use cases, including power electronics. The project will center on the production and testing of MST-enabled GaN-on-silicon wafers, with the goal of rapidly developing the best achievable MST-enabled GaN-on-silicon material and making samples available for foundry, IDM and fabless customer engagement.
Company Reports Q1 Revenue of $11K
Reports Q1 revenue $11K vs. $4K last year. During the quarter, the company made progress toward adoption of MST by Gate-All-Around manufacturers and expanded its GaN offerings to RF applications. "We made excellent progress during the first quarter toward adoption of MST by GAA manufacturers, engaging with another of the four companies that manufacture those advanced transistors," said CEO Scott Bibaud.

Atomera Expands Collaboration with Synopsys to Advance GaN Device Modeling
Atomera (ATOM) "announced an expanded collaboration with Synopsys (SNPS) to advance gallium nitride (GaN) device modeling for radio frequency and power semiconductor applications. The work builds on the companies' long-standing relationship around Synopsys' Sentaurus TCAD and Atomera's MSTcad toolset and extends the collaboration into GaN workflows to support bringing higher-quality GaN solutions to market. Under the collaboration, Atomera will use Synopsys' Sentaurus TCAD tools to develop a GaN calibration methodology for TCAD workflows, create marketing materials and calibrated TCAD decks for GaN devices, and provide product feedback to Synopsys. Synopsys and Atomera have worked together for years to enable modeling of Atomera's MST technology within Synopsys' Sentaurus TCAD environment. This collaboration enables support for Atomera's MSTcad capabilities and allows customers and partners to evaluate the physical and electrical effects of MST using Synopsys' process and device simulation tools."
