Company Reports Q2 Revenue of $10.04M, Impacted by Largest Distributor Bankruptcy
Reports Q2 revenue $10.04M vs. $10.2M last year. Jim Bernau, founder and president of the company, said, "I believe this second quarter reflects the negative impact of our largest distributor's bankruptcy filing and the sizable amount our winery is owed by them. We are taking steps to reduce the adverse impact on our cash flow as well as training new distributors to be successful with our brands. We are pleased that the reduction in the aggregate number of customer visitations at our retail locations during the second quarter was nearly offset by increased spending on a per customer basis during this period."
Willamette Valley Vineyards Launches $1.75M Preferred Stock Offering
Willamette Valley Vineyards is inviting wine enthusiasts across the country to become winery shareholders through its limited $1.75M Preferred Stock Offering. The offering provides investors the opportunity to support the winery's continued growth while enjoying exclusive benefits and experiences. Now through September 30, 2026, shares are available at $3.45 each, with a minimum investment of 300 shares ($1,035) and a maximum of 5,000 shares ($17,250). Investors receive an annual dividend of $0.22 per share (6.3%) or may elect to receive their dividend as an "Owner Benefit Credit" with 15% additional value, redeemable for wine, food, merchandise, overnight stays and event admission. The share price increases to $3.95 per share on October 1, 2026. The offering ends on December 31, 2026, unless it sells out first.
Willamette Valley Vineyards Appoints John Hazlett as CFO
Willamette Valley Vineyards announced that John Hazlett has been named CFO, effective immediately. Most recently, he served as the founding partner of Trailwise Advisory Services, a fractional CFO firm supporting organizations through financial transformation, operational scaling and leadership transitions.
Willamette Valley Vineyards Adjusts East Coast Distribution Strategy
Willamette Valley Vineyards has made changes to its distribution in major states on the East Coast, including aligning its distribution in New York State and the Mid-Atlantic region with Republic National Distributing Company. This Mid-Atlantic change aligns Maryland and the District of Columbia with the company's existing relationship in Virginia. The transition to utilize RNDC's expansive network within New York State positions the winery to reach new and existing consumers in this essential market. Willamette Valley Vineyards also announced two additions to its national sales division and a reorganization of its sales team into five regions. Robert Goodrich joined the company as Eastern Region Sales Director, bringing more than 15 years of experience in wine distribution and supplier sales, most recently serving as Regional Director of Chains for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. Jimmy Lewis was named California Sales Manager and joined the company with more than 30 years of experience representing California wineries, wholesale distribution, and an earlier culinary career. They join the team led by Senior Director of National Sales Rebecca Geschwender, alongside Shelli Fowler, Central Region Sales Director; Tyler Voorhies, West Region Sales Director; and Chelsie Jewell, who manages the winery's significant local Oregon business. Furthermore, the company has transitioned its Pennsylvania representation to Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits, effective immediately.
Willamette Valley Vineyards names Mike Osborn as CEO
Willamette Valley Vineyards announced that Mike Osborn, founder of Wine.com, has been named CEO, effective immediately. The appointment follows founder Jim Bernau's January 2025 announcement that he would be stepping back from the CEO role while continuing to serve as President and Chairperson as part of a long-term succession plan.
