Federal Ammunition and Palladyne AI Jointly Develop SwarmShot System

Federal Ammunition, part of The Kinetic Group, a member of CSG Group; Mossberg; and Palladyne AI announced the joint development of SwarmShot, a modular autonomous airborne counter-unmanned aircraft system, C-UAS, designed to transform compatible drones into reusable air-to-air interceptors operating together as a collaborative kinetic defensive swarm. The system will initially be developed as a modular mission add-on for Gremlin-X, Palladyne AI's Group 1 quadcopter mini-bomber. SwarmShot will be engineered as one integrated system.

Palladyne AI's BRAIN Selected as Finalist in U.S. Army FUZE xTech Apex Intercept Competition

Palladyne AI announced that BRAIN, its edge AI flight computer, has been selected as a finalist in the U.S. Army FUZE xTech Apex Intercept competition. The selection gives Palladyne AI the opportunity to demonstrate BRAIN's edge AI flight-control and autonomy capabilities in a mission-relevant setting as the Army evaluates technologies that could support next-generation interceptor and fire-control modernization .xTech Apex Intercept is a U.S. Army FUZE xTech Program competition delivered in partnership with Capability Program Executive Defensive Fires. The initiative is designed to identify world-class commercial technologies with potential DoW application, bring non-traditional innovators into the DoW Science and Technology ecosystem, and provide expert feedback to help accelerate, mature, transition and scale technologies of interest to the DoW. As a finalist, Palladyne AI will have the opportunity to demonstrate BRAIN to U.S. Army and DoW end-users during the xTech Apex Intercept finals demonstration event, expected to be held in October/November 2026.

Palladyne AI and FANUC America Collaborate on Intelligent Robotic Automation

Palladyne AI and FANUC America announced a strategic collaboration focused on advancing the next generation of intelligent robotic automation. The collaboration brings together FANUC America's industrial robot portfolio with Palladyne IQ to "develop intelligent robotic capabilities that simplify deployment, increase adaptability, and expand the range of manufacturing and logistics applications that can be automated," the company said.
