Motorcar Parts Extends Credit Facility Maturity to 2031
Motorcar Parts of America announced it has extended the maturity date of the company's $238.62M evolving credit facility led by PNC Bank to August 2031. "The amended facility includes enhancements that provide working capital flexibility, liquidity and other favorable terms," the company said. Added Motorcar Parts CEO Selwyn Joffe, "The extension of the maturity date and enhancements recognize the company's milestones and solid position within the automotive aftermarket and complement management's commitment to strategic growth and profitability."
Motorcar Parts of America Acquires Centric Parts IP
Motorcar Parts of America acquired the intellectual and digital property associated with the Centric Parts brake brands from First Brands Group through its Chapter 11 bankruptcy process. The transaction was managed through a court-supervised sales process under Section 363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The transaction was structured without assuming operational liabilities and certain assets were transferred free-and-clear from all liens, claims and encumbrances. Additional terms were not disclosed. The transaction includes the following key brands among others and the associated catalogues, engineering and proprietary technical information: Centric Parts; Posi Quiet; StopTech; C-TEK; GCX. Centric Parts brake business had estimated gross sales as high as $400M at the supplier level based on industry reports.
