Accelsius Joins NSF Center for Energy-Smart Electronic Systems
Accelsius announces its participation in the National Science Foundation Center for Energy-Smart Electronic Systems, a federal data center energy efficiency research program. Accelsius, a member of the NVIDIA Inception program, will support ES2's system-level testing by providing the NeuCool IR150, the industry's first fully-integrated IT rack plus CDU, to Villanova University, a founding member of ES2, an NSF Industry-University Cooperative Research Center. Villanova is one of three university sites participating in ES2, alongside The University of Texas at Arlington, where Accelsius continues its support in a COOLERCHIPS project led by Dr. Dereje Agonafer. The Villanova ES2 Laboratory for Advanced Thermal and Fluid Systems is performing extensive research in two-phase data center cooling systems, including research for the OMNICOOL Project, the NVIDIA-led project under ARPA-E's COOLERCHIPS program, as well as research with ES2 industry consortium members. With support from fellow industry partners including Google, Microsoft and Meta, ES2's stated objective is to improve the energy efficiency of U.S. data centers by 20-35% - by its own estimate, the equivalent of removing one to two power plants every three years.
Innventure Forms Strategic Review Committee
Innventure announced that its board has formed a strategic review committee of disinterested directors to oversee a wide range of strategic matters, including an evaluation of capital strategies and other strategic priorities. The committee is working with independent financial advisors to support a comprehensive review of capital strategies and has been actively considering potential avenues to strengthen the company's financial position. The committee, board, and management team will continue to act in shareholders' best interests and support the review process. No timetable has been set for the conclusion of the review, and no decisions have been made regarding potential actions.
Innventure Appoints Eric Stober as CFO
Innventure (INV) announced that Eric Stober has joined the company as CFO, with finance, accounting, investor relations, and communications reporting to him. Stober served nine years as CFO of Astrotech (ASTC), where he played a role in restructuring the company, managed the sale of its satellite operations business to Lockheed Martin, and led capital formation.
Accelsius Upgrades Texas Lab to Multi-Megawatt Cooling Testing
Accelsius has upgraded its Springdale lab and facility in Austin, Texas, to multi-megawatt power for two-phase liquid cooling testing. The upgraded environment allows Accelsius to validate its NeuCool platform at the rack densities and facility water temperatures that next-generation AI infrastructure is expected to demand. The company will also grow its lease footprint at the location with an additional 18,000 square feet in January 2027. The announcement comes as Accelsius exhibits at the Open Compute Project Global Summit 2026 in San Jose. Publicly disclosed GPU roadmaps already point to 600kW racks in 2027, with megawatt-class rack and pod designs. With multi-megawatt capacity at Springdale, Accelsius will be able to power a single rack at megawatt-plus loads, or multiple racks at today's highest densities, and characterize complete two-phase systems, from cold plate to coolant distribution unit to facility loop, under real-world conditions. Because the lab sits in Central Texas, where summer temperatures routinely exceed 100 degrees F, it is also a real-world proving ground for warm-water cooling in a warm climate. Independent benchmark results published in July showed NeuCool delivering 9 degrees C lower NVIDIA B200 junction temperatures than single-phase direct-to-chip cooling in warm-water conditions, and matching single-phase performance at NVIDIA's 45 degrees C facility water benchmark with inlet water as warm as 54 degrees C. With every 1 degrees C increase in facility water temperature worth approximately 4 percent in annual energy savings, the Springdale upgrade enables Accelsius to demonstrate two-phase efficiency gains with rack- and row-level deployments. The upgraded lab also strengthens Accelsius' support for hyperscale customers through the NeuCool HyperStart program, which gives hyperscale operators, high performance compute providers and key partners a structured path to validate two-phase, direct-to-chip cooling and bring it into their data center reference designs and product roadmaps. Several hyperscalers are already engaged under the program and customers are taking advantage of the expanded Springdale capability to validate two-phase cooling at full rack and row scale for their next-generation AI infrastructure. Accelsius is also expanding its NeuCool multi-rack family with a 375kW-capable unit, the next step beyond the MR250 in a roadmap built to evolve alongside successive generations of AI rack and pod designs. Additional details will be published in the coming months.
Innventure Launches $60 Million At-the-Market Equity Offering
Innventure announced that it entered into an at-the-market equity offering agreement and has discontinued its use of the standby equity purchase agreement that it entered into with YA II PN, Ltd. in October 2023. The ATM provides Innventure with the flexibility to best support the company's operations and the ongoing development of Accelsius. The ATM provides for sales of Innventure's common stock having an aggregate offering size of up to $60M, however, the company is under no obligation to sell any shares under the ATM. "Having become eligible to use a Form S-3 shelf registration statement, we are moving away from the SEPA and established this ATM to broaden our financing options and give Innventure greater control over how and when we raise equity capital," said Dr. Bill Grieco, Innventure's CEO.
