Syntec Optics has secured a nearly 25% increase in orders for advanced space reconnaissance, building on a major program announced two months ago.
Syntec Optics to Nearly Double Satellite Laser Optics Production in 2026
Syntec Optics announced nearly a 2x year-over-year increase in commercial satellite laser optics production volume shipping in 2026 over 2025. Satellite communication is accelerating rapidly. This growth is driven by record demand for airplane Wi-Fi, cruise ship video calls, and new U.S. regulatory approvals announced this month that open up massive opportunities to connect standard mobile phones directly to satellites.
Syntec Optics Secures Critical Order for U.S. Space Force
Syntec Optics announced the "most critical order in its 25-year history:" an order to enable U.S. Space Force infrastructure and advanced reconnaissance operations. "This is the most significant milestone in our over the quarter-century history," said Dean Rudy, CFO. "Working alongside the nation's greatest minds, we are proud to scale our technology to protect our skies and secure the country's future."
Syntec Optics Orders Exceed $9M, More Than Doubled
Syntec Optics announced that the company more than doubled its purchase orders-worth over $9M to supply defense equipment, up from its Q1 announcement about orders for diverse defense platforms. Orders for optics that help guide missiles to hit targets accurately grew an additional 30% since the last announcement of a 40% increase. On another front, Syntec continued to add orders for optics and optics-mechanicals used in equipment that helps soldiers see clearly in the dark and spot targets day or night. Orders for optics and opto-mechanicals for specialized lasers used for targeting and defense also grew. Orders grew across all platforms.
Syntec Optics Secures New Order for High-Tech Waveguides
Syntec Optics announced a new order to build specialized high-tech waveguides for space satellites. After working on it for the past six months, Syntec is now ramping up to build and ship the product every week. Syntec is making advanced antenna feeds that let satellites talk using several different channels at the same time.
