Micropolis AI Robotics Signs Five-Year Agreement with Abu Dhabi
Micropolis AI Robotics announced a five-year agreement with the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi for the design, production, deployment, operation, and maintenance of a Physical AI-powered autonomous urban cleaning ecosystem. The agreement marks another significant milestone in the adoption of Physical AI technologies across public infrastructure and municipal services. The project will commence with an initial deployment of AI-powered autonomous sweepers, creating the foundation for broader implementation of intelligent robotic services across Abu Dhabi's urban environments. As part of the project, Micropolis will also collaborate with Khalifa University to support research, validation, and knowledge transfer initiatives, contributing to the advancement of Physical AI and autonomous robotics capabilities in the UAE.
Micropolis Robotics Signs $9.3 Million Agreement with AfricAI
Micropolis Robotics announced it has signed a comprehensive commercial agreement with AfricAI that includes the development of three new customized autonomous vehicle models and a multi-year distribution agreement covering several African markets. Under the terms of the agreement, Micropolis will design, develop, test, and validate three new UGV platforms tailored specifically for African operating environments. The total contract value for the development program is approximately $9.3 million over an expected 18-month project period.
Micropolis Robotics Completes Pilot Program with Saudi Ministry of Interior
Micropolis Robotics announced completion of a one-month pilot program with the Saudi Ministry of Interior across two strategic sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: an ARAMCO oil refinery and the Riyadh national power station. The pilot was conducted in collaboration with QSS Robotics, Micropolis' local deployment and integration partner in Saudi Arabia, and under the supervision of the MOI Premises Security Forces Command, validating the robots' operational performance across complex industrial and critical infrastructure environments. Following the success of the pilot program, Micropolis also announced that it has received an additional Letter of Intent from QSS Robotics to supply 270 robots, on top of the previously issued LOI for 500 robots, bringing the total indicated volume to 770 robots. The pilot program included full validation of the robot's off-road mechanical performance, autonomous system capabilities, L-band radio communications, and AI system functionality, ensuring readiness for large-scale deployment across high-security and mission-critical sites.
EDGE Group Signs MoU with Micropolis Robotics
EDGE Group and SteerAI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with Micropolis Robotics. The agreement establishes a framework for the production and industrialisation of an Autonomous Logistics Platform, ALP, as well as piloting the technology in EDGE Group's industrial areas. The MoU marks a major milestone for sovereign Emirati expertise in UGVs, AI systems, and smart infrastructure.
