AEye Secures Contract with Lunar Outpost, Expanding into Lunar Mobility Market

AEye announced that its Apollo long-range lidar has been selected by Lunar Outpost, the leader in space mobility and infrastructure, for integration onto the Pegasus Lunar Terrain Vehicle, which will transport Artemis astronauts across the lunar surface. The contract award further diversifies AEye's commercial footprint beyond its core automotive, defense, and industrial markets into space mobility, a new market category tied to the broader buildout of lunar infrastructure. The global lunar rover market is among the fastest-growing segments of the space economy, driven by sustained, multi-year government investment and increasing commercial activity. "This multi-million-dollar contract award is a testament to our technology and its ability to address this significant market opportunity," said Matt Fisch, AEye's CEO.

AEye Reports Q2 Revenue of $202k

Reports Q2 revenue $202k vs $22k last year. "We set a new high bar for commercial activity in Q2, securing two new commercial deals and gaining increased traction within existing accounts and verticals," said Matt Fisch, CEO of AEye. "As a company, we are hitting our stride. Revenue is up more than nine times year-over-year, and has increased for four consecutive quarters. New technical engagements, inbound RFIs, and POC activity across automotive, trucking, aerospace and defense, rail, infrastructure, ITS - and, new this quarter, sports analytics - are trending in the right direction. We believe every new vertical we enter validates the same underlying thesis: when performance and programmability matter most, Apollo(TM) wins."
