Celularity and MuseCell Collaborate on U.S. Manufacturing
Celularity and MuseCell Innovations announced an additional U.S.-based manufacturing collaboration under which Celularity will undertake activities to establish U.S. production of Dezawa MuseCells, DMCs, at Celularity's Florham Park, New Jersey facility. "Cellular medicine remains at the center of Celularity's strategy, including our continued advancement of our proprietary placental-derived technologies," said Robert J. Hariri, M.D., Ph.D., Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Celularity. "Our collaboration with MCI demonstrates how the manufacturing infrastructure and cellular expertise we have built can also support innovative third-party technologies. We look forward to expanding U.S. manufacturing for the Dezawa MuseCell platform and working with MCI to manufacture additional products derived from the platform."
Celularity Receives Compliance Notification from Nasdaq
Celularity announced that, on August 21, 2026, it received a notification letter from the Listing Qualifications Department of The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC stating that, because the Company has not filed its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended June 30, 2026 and remains delinquent in filing its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended March 31, 2026, the Company is not in compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5250(c)(1). Nasdaq has requested that the Company submit its plan to regain compliance by September 4, 2026. Any exception granted by Nasdaq will be limited to a maximum of 180 calendar days from the prescribed due date of the initial delinquent filing, or until November 16, 2026.
Celularity Launches cenplacel-L Cell Therapy in Florida
Celularity and Fountain Life announced the availability of cenplacel-L, a placental-derived allogeneic investigational cell therapy, for investigational use by licensed physicians in the State of Florida under recently enacted legislation supporting responsible use of regenerative medicine.The company said, "This milestone marks the establishment of one of the first state-level frameworks in the United States enabling the physician-directed use of allogeneic cellular therapies outside of traditional federal approval pathways, creating a potential model for broader market expansion. Celularity is uniquely positioned to support this opportunity through its FDA-registered, GMP-compliant manufacturing infrastructure and existing inventory of clinical-grade product, enabling near-term clinical deployment. Celularity maintains a robust inventory of cenplacel-L at its FDA-registered, GMP-compliant manufacturing facility and is prepared to support physician-directed investigational use consistent with the requirements of Florida law."
NexGel Appoints Ian Blackman as CFO
NexGel (NXGL) announced the appointment of Ian Blackman as CFO. Blackman will help to advance the closing of the definitive agreement to license and acquire a portfolio of commercial-stage regenerative biomaterial products from Celularity (CELU). Most recently, Blackman served as CFO of McIntosh Group.
NexGel Completes Acquisition of Biomaterials from Celularity
NexGel (NXGL) announced the closing of its previously announced license and acquisition of a portfolio of commercial-stage regenerative biomaterials products from Celularity (CELU), a regenerative and cellular medicine company. The Company has also launched BioNX Surgical, a new division of NEXGEL. The closing of this transaction will be financed under new terms and led by a $5.5 million strategic investment from Sequence LifeScience, a leader in regenerative medicine manufacturing. The transaction was financed through a convertible note with $0.60 conversion price and 50% warrant coverage with a strike price of $0.80.
