Serina Therapeutics Completes Enrollment for SER-252 Cohort 1
Serina Therapeutics completed enrollment and dosing in Cohort 1 of its ongoing Phase 1b registrational clinical trial evaluating SER-252 in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease. All eight patients in Cohort 1 have now been dosed across clinical sites in the U.S. and Australia. The milestone was achieved ahead of the company's guidance to complete Cohort 1 enrollment and dosing by the end of Q3. The SER-252-1b study is a placebo-controlled Phase 1b trial with single-ascending-dose and multiple-ascending-dose components in adults with Parkinson's disease and motor fluctuations. The registrational study is designed to evaluate safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of subcutaneous SER-252 versus placebo.
Serina Therapeutics Appoints Farrell Simon to Board of Directors
Serina Therapeutics (SER) announced the appointment of Farrell Simon to its board of directors, effective immediately. Simon will also serve on the board's audit and compensation committees. He currently serves as chief commercial officer, or COO, at Trevi Therapeutics (TRVI), where he leads commercial strategy, lifecycle management, and pre-commercial readiness planning.
Serina Therapeutics Completes Sentinel Dosing for SER-252 Clinical Trial
Serina Therapeutics announced the completion of sentinel dosing in Cohort 1 of its ongoing Phase 1b registrational clinical trial evaluating SER-252 in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease. Following review of initial 72-hour safety and tolerability observations from the sentinel dosing group, the study's independent Safety Monitoring Committee recommended that dosing continue in the remainder of Cohort 1. Additional patient dosing in Cohort 1 is now underway across sites in the United States and Australia. Serina previously guided that completion of enrollment and dosing in Cohort 1 was expected by the end of the third quarter of 2026. Based on current site activity and patient screening and dosing, the Company now expects to complete enrollment and dosing of Cohort 1 ahead of that timeline, subject to continued trial execution.
