As part of the expanded collaboration, Qualcomm Technologies plans to deepen its use of AWS AI infrastructure, including Amazon Bedrock, for electronic design automation workloads, targeting a reduction in chip design cycles. In a regulatory filing, the company said, "On September 3, 2026, in connection with a strategic collaboration between Qualcomm Incorporated, and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of the company, and certain of its affiliates, and Amazon Data Services, Inc. and certain of its affiliates related to the purchase of certain QTI server chip products, technology, systems and manufacturing services by Amazon, the company issued a warrant to Amazon.com NV Investment Holdings LLC, an affiliate of Amazon to acquire up to an aggregate of 25,000,000 shares of the company's common stock at an exercise price of $161.26 per share. The Warrant allows for cashless exercise and expires on September 3, 2036. The Warrant Shares vest in tranches tied to the execution of certain commercial arrangements, the placement of binding purchase orders and actual purchases of QTI's server chip products, technology, systems and manufacturing services by Amazon during the term of the Warrant, up to a maximum amount of $60 billion in payments, with 3,750,000 shares being vested upon issuance of the Warrant based on initial purchase commitments."PARTNERSHIP:Samsung Electronicsannounced it has entered into a strategic partnership with Mistral AI to enhance its semiconductor engineering and manufacturing capabilities that will reinforce its leadership in AI chip technologies. Under the agreement, Samsung will integrate Mistral's AI services and solutions-including its flagship large language model, Mistral Large-across its semiconductor operations to develop customized on-premises AI models optimized for intelligence-driven infrastructure. Samsung has also led Mistral AI's Series D funding round, securing a strategic equity stake to support long-term technology collaboration. Samsung's lead investment reflects expanding cross-industry collaboration across the advanced chip ecosystem.ANTHROPIC IPO:Anthropic is expected to start marketing its initial public offering, IPO, in mid-October at the earliest, Echo Wang of Reuters, citing people familiar with the matter. The AI company originally expected to make its IPO prospectus public as early as next week, but now that is not expected until late September, the sources added.CALL FOR CAUTION:Jakub Pachocki, Chief Scientist at OpenAI,over the weekend that rapidly advancing reasoning models are pushing AI toward capabilities that may surpass human intelligence, making alignment, monitoring, and safety the central challenges of the coming years. He argued that scaling compute drives increasingly opaque and hard to predict behavior, current alignment methods remain limited, and confidence in monitoring is weakening as models grow more complex. With rising risks - from cybersecurity threats to potentially rogue agents - he says powerful aligned systems will be needed for defense, but progress must be paired with caution, shared safety standards, and international coordination. Pachocki says OpenAI is focused on three priorities - guiding the next phase of AI progress through automated research and alignment, delivering broad scientific and economic benefits, and eventually empowering individuals with personal AGI - but argued that safely navigating the coming years is the most urgent task.AI COMPUTE CLUSTER:Quantum Cyberannounced that it has acquired a Lambda Hyperplane 8-A100 AI compute cluster, powered by eight NvidiaA100 Tensor Core GPUs, to serve as the dedicated compute backbone for its Swarm Operating System and for the AI and autonomy features being built into Quantum Station, the Company's battlefield command-and-control platform. The cluster is intended to be installed at Quantum Cyber's wholly owned manufacturing facility in Bridgeport, Connecticut, co-locating the company's AI infrastructure with the same U.S. site that produces its autonomous drone platforms.ON THE SIDELINES:Rothschild & Co Redburn initiated coverage of Tempus AIwith a Neutral rating and $67 price target. The company offers xT-CDx, a tumor-informed treatment selection test that uses a tissue sample rather than blood, the firm tells investors in a research note. Rothschild views Tempus AI's data business as differentiated, but lacks visibility on the company's long-term growth.MULTI-YEAR DEAL:Nvidia-backed Firmus signed a multi-year deal with OpenAI to supply computing capacity to two Malaysian data centers, Reuters. This deal increased Firmus' contracted capacity across its customers to over 900 megawatts.
Quantum Cyber Acquires Lambda Hyperplane 8-A100 AI Compute Cluster
Quantum Cyber (QUCY) announced that it has acquired a Lambda Hyperplane 8-A100 AI compute cluster, powered by eight Nvidia (NVDA) A100 Tensor Core GPUs, to serve as the dedicated compute backbone for its Swarm Operating System and for the AI and autonomy features being built into Quantum Station, the Company's battlefield command-and-control platform. The cluster is intended to be installed at Quantum Cyber's wholly owned manufacturing facility in Bridgeport, Connecticut, co-locating the company's AI infrastructure with the same U.S. site that produces its autonomous drone platforms.
Quantum Cyber Seeks Manufacturing Partners for Quantum Photonic Antenna Prototype
Quantum Cyber confirmed that it is actively seeking qualified manufacturing partners, foundries, and applied-R&D organizations - and is inviting such organizations to apply - to build the first working prototype of the company's exclusively licensed quantum-photonic antenna front-end, a compact system intended to support resilient, frequency-agile communications for unmanned aerial systems operating in contested and denied environments. The call for applications advances the quantum antenna technology previously secured under Quantum Cyber's exclusive worldwide intellectual property license agreement with Project LightShift, dated June 11 for defense and national-security UAS applications.
Quantum Cyber Completes Installation of 80 Units of 3D Printing Drone Production Line
Quantum Cyber announced that it has completed the purchase and physical installation of all 80 units of its previously announced 3D Printing drone production farm at the company's approximately 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The milestone marks the operational commissioning of what the company has previously described as its primary autonomous drone manufacturing line at the Bridgeport facility, and follows the completion of the company's first mini-interceptor airframe at the same facility on July 27, and the launch of the company's Advanced Filament Manufacturing Division announced on June 11. The 3D Printing Farm is designed to serve as the primary autonomous drone manufacturing operation at Bridgeport, with dedicated capacity for structural airframe components, enclosures, and printed subassemblies across the company's planned attritable one-way attack, interceptor, surveillance, vertical takeoff and landing, and long-range PHANTOM-950 product lines. The 3D Printing Farm is designed to consume both standard PETG filament and Formula A, Quantum Cyber's patent-pending EMP-hardened composite filament, both intended to be produced in-house through the company's previously announced Advanced Filament Manufacturing Division. This vertical integration is intended to reduce external supply chain dependency, protect the company's proprietary formulations, and support production scaling in response to customer demand. During the week ended August 29, the company hosted a series of on-site visits at its Bridgeport manufacturing facility. Attendees included representatives of institutional investment firms, representatives of investment banking counterparties, and current and former senior officers of the United States armed forces.
Quantum Cyber Receives Blackmail Threat, Continues Lawsuit
Quantum Cyber disclosed that it has received what the company views as a "blackmail-style threat," delivered by an unsolicited email dated August 14, from Adam Gefvert, a named defendant in the lawsuit the company filed on August 10 in the Supreme Court of the State of New York against White Diamond Research, Gefvert and Stocktwits. The company said, "In the email, sent through an email address affiliated with the Company, Mr. Gefvert proposed that if the Company were to drop its defamation lawsuit, he would agree not to publish any further report on Quantum Cyber or on any company associated with the Company's Chief Executive Officer, David Lazar. In Mr. Gefvert's own words: "if the lawsuit is dropped, i won't publish anything on QUCY or any company of David Lazar's again." Mr. Gefvert continued, promising that if his offer was rejected and the Company "go[es] forward with the lawsuit, i will publish a 2nd report on QUCY," which he indicated would be directed at Mr. Lazar personally and at other individuals affiliated with the Company. The Company is disclosing the substance of Mr. Gefvert's email so that shareholders and the broader market can evaluate for themselves the nature of the conduct at issue. In the Company's view, an offer by a self-identified short-seller to withhold future negative publications on the Company and on other companies associated with its Chief Executive Officer, in exchange for the withdrawal of a pending defamation and market-manipulation lawsuit, is not the conduct of an independent research analyst - it is, in the Company's view, coercive in nature and blackmail-style in effect. The Company believes it confirms, on its face, that short-seller reporting is being used as leverage rather than as objective analysis. The Company intends to proceed with the pending litigation. Quantum Cyber will not withdraw its complaint, will not modify its claims in exchange for a promise of editorial silence, and intends to prosecute the case to its conclusion. The Company further intends to place Mr. Gefvert's August 14, 2026 email into the record of the proceeding, as it believes the correspondence is directly relevant to the claims and to the state of mind of the defendants..."
