OPAL Fuels Completes Upgrade of California Fueling Station
OPAL Fuels announced that it has completed the renovation and upgrade of its fueling station in Goshen, California located at 30981 Road 67, Goshen, CA. The enhanced facility is expected to dispense approximately 14 million gasoline gallon equivalents of RNG and CNG over the next decade, including 1.7M GGE of additional capacity made possible through this upgrade. The project enables Premier Ag Transportation Inc. to fuel its fleet at the station while continuing to serve Western Milling and ten other commercial and regional customers.
OPAL Fuels Welcomes Congressman to RNG Facility
OPAL Fuels welcomed Congressman Eugene Vindman to its RNG facility at the Prince William County Landfill in Manassas, Virginia. The visit included a tour of the facility and a meeting with OPAL Fuels Co-Chief Executive Officer Adam Comora to discuss the role of domestic RNG production in providing a cost-effective, lower-emissions alternative to diesel fuel that strengthens American energy security and supports economic growth in Northern Virginia. "We were honored to host Congressman Vindman and show him firsthand how the Prince William RNG facility turns a local waste stream into homegrown American energy," said Adam Comora, Co-Chief Executive Officer of OPAL Fuels. "Renewable natural gas strengthens our nation's energy security, supports jobs and investment here in Northern Virginia, and gives heavy-duty fleets a proven, cost-effective way to cut emissions. Our partnership with Prince William County spans more than two decades, and this facility demonstrates the lasting impact that RNG can have on local communities and the nation's energy future."
OPAL Fuels Q2 Revenue Reaches $83.4M
Reports Q2 revenue $83.4M vs. $80.5M last year. "Second quarter financial results were solid and in line with our expectations with adjusted EBITDA growth of 40% percent over the second quarter of last year," said Adam Comora, Co-Chief Executive Officer of OPAL Fuels. "Contribution from 45Z production tax credits, growth in our FSS segment, and G&A cost savings drove financial results in a flat RIN price environment versus last year. These results keep us on track to meet our annual guidance."
OPAL Fuels to Build New Fueling Station in Dinuba
OPAL Fuels announced that it is building a new fueling station in the City of Dinuba, and will own and maintain the station through a long-term agreement with the City and its partners that provide municipal services. Most immediately, the station will supply CNG to the refuse collection fleet of Pena's Disposal Service, the City's contracted refuse services provider, as well as other CNG vehicles serving Dinuba and the surrounding areas, one of California's most productive agricultural regions.
OPAL Fuels and GFL Environmental Advance Construction of New RNG Facilities
OPAL Fuels (OPAL) and GFL Environmental (GFL) announced the advancement of construction for two new RNG facilities at the Stones Throw Landfill in Tallapoosa County, Alabama and the Grady Road Landfill in Polk County, Georgia. The projects together represent nearly 2M MMBTU of plant design capacity and are owned jointly, 50% each, by GFL and OPAL Fuels. OPAL Fuels has agreed to market and distribute the full output from the new RNG facilities through its expanding CNG/RNG dispensing network further advancing OPAL Fuels' strategy to drive profitable growth across both upstream production and downstream distribution. The new RNG facilities are designed to supply fuel for approximately 800 Class 8 heavy-duty tractors, with such fuel providing better economics than diesel and the added benefits of zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. The projects are well positioned to supply accelerating fleet conversion activity in the heavy-duty trucking sector which is being driven by higher and volatile diesel pricing, increased regulatory clarity regarding combustion engines, and the availability of next-generation natural gas engine platforms.
