Lantern Pharma Officially Establishes Open-Medicine AI

Lantern Pharma announced the formal creation of Open-Medicine AI and the execution of commercial licensing agreements between OMAI and Lantern Pharma. The agreements, which have received Lantern Pharma Board approval, are consistent with the framework outlined in Lantern's most recent registered direct financing and establish the commercial operating structure for the multi-agentic AI co-scientist platform previously launched as withZeta.ai. OMAI will continue to advance the multi-agentic architecture, first proven in oncology and rare cancer research, while expanding its application across broader disease areas. The formation of the entity and the licensing arrangements position OMAI for independent growth, while expanding value creation opportunities and preserving strategic alignment with Lantern Pharma's clinical programs and shareholders. In the first quarter of 2026, Lantern established and staffed an AI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, India. This center will serve as a core operational hub accelerating the development, refinement, and scaling of the Open-Medicine platform. The Bengaluru team will bring additional specialized talent to the existing team in Dallas. Both sites will focus on functional enhancements in multi-agent systems, computational biology modeling, knowledge engineering, and large-scale scientific curation - furthering Open-Medicine's ability to deliver production-grade capabilities to researchers and institutions worldwide.

Lantern Pharma's LP-184 Clinical Trial Cleared by EMA

Lantern Pharma announced that an investigator-initiated Phase 1b/2 clinical trial of its lead drug candidate LP-184 in advanced, recurrent bladder cancer has been cleared by the European Medicines Agency. The study will be conducted at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen in collaboration with Professor Helle Pappot, MD, DMSc, a leading authority in the treatment of urothelial cancer. The trial is designed to test a novel, biomarker-guided approach in patients with advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma who have progressed on or are ineligible for current standard-of-care regimens. It is among the first studies to prospectively select patients using a dual biomarker strategy - combining overexpression of the activating enzyme PTGR1 with tumor DNA-damage-repair deficiency - to match the mechanisms of LP-184 to the tumors believed most likely to respond.

Lantern Pharma Launches ZetaOmics Computational Biology Module

Lantern Pharma announced the launch of ZetaOmics, the computational-biology module of its multi-agentic AI co-scientist platform, withZeta.ai. ZetaOmics introduces an autonomous "Computational Biologist" persona that performs real, end-to-end bioinformatics and multi-omic analysis - across any cancer type, and is purpose-built for the rare and pediatric cancers that have long been underserved by dedicated computational resources and meaningful bioinformatics. First introduced as part of the withZeta.ai development roadmap the Company unveiled on May 7, ZetaOmics now moves from roadmap to reality. It is being made available initially through an early-access program for a select group of leading academic and industry bioinformatics teams and Lantern Pharma collaborators, whose real-world use will guide refinement ahead of broader commercial availability. This phased rollout is designed to validate the module against the most demanding research workflows while establishing the reference relationships that seed a larger subscriber and partnership base.
