Stock Futures Rise as S&P 500 and Nasdaq Face Correction
Stock futures are higher ahead of the open. This follows a difficult month in which the S&P 500 and Nasdaq moved into correction territory and are on track for their weakest performance since 2022.Crude prices are trading in the $110-$115 range and are on pace for one of the largest monthly gains on record, with Brent up roughly 50%-60% in March. The scale of that move reflects sustained concerns about supply routes, particularly through the Strait of Hormuz.Markets that had been pricing rate cuts earlier in the year are now adjusting toward a more restrictive policy path, as higher oil prices complicate the inflation trajectory. This shift continues to weigh on equity valuations, particularly in rate-sensitive sectors. At the same time, market behavior is beginning to show signs of adjustment. Broader conditions remain tight, with a stronger dollar, elevated volatility and continued pressure on growth-oriented assets. In pre-market trading, S&P 500 futures rose 1.2%, Nasdaq futures rose 1.16% and Dow futures rose 1.17%.Check out this morning's top movers from around Wall Street, compiled by The Fly.HIGHER -Apellisup 135% after Biogenagreed to acquire all outstanding shares for $41.00 per share in cash at closing, or approximately $5.6BCentessaup 45% after entering a definitive agreement for Eli Lillyto acquire Centessa for $38.00 in cash per share plus one non-transferrable contingent value rightMarvellup 8% after Nvidiaand the company announced a strategic partnership to connect Marvell to the Nvidia AI factory and AI-RAN ecosystem, including a $2B investment from NvidiaUP AFTER EARNINGS -McCormickup 2% after earnings and ad deal to combine with Unilever'sFoods business excluding India and other excluded businessesFactSetup 2%Lensarup 2%TD Synnexup 1%DOWN AFTER EARNINGS -J.Jilldown 14%T1 Energydown 14%Super Hidown 2%LOWER -Biogendown 3% after the company agreed to acquire Apellis for $5.6B
LENSAR Reports Q4 Revenue of $16.03M, Down Year-over-Year
Reports Q4 revenue $16.03M vs. $16.73M last year. "While the recent transaction-related news was unexpected, we have quickly pivoted and are moving forward independently with a renewed commitment to advancing robotic laser cataract surgery through our industry-leading ALLY Robotic Laser Cataract System. Our objective is not only to expand our share of the laser-assisted cataract surgery market, but to expand the robotic laser cataract market itself, and continue to demonstrate we are well equipped to do so," said CEO Nick Curtis. "We closed 2025 with continued momentum in ALLY adoption and utilization, reinforcing the durability of our recurring revenue model, with 79% of revenue for both the fourth quarter and the full year coming from recurring sources. During Q4, we expanded the ALLY installed base to approximately 200 systems, representing a 48% increase over the end of 2024, while worldwide volume increased 22% in 2025 compared to 2024. Procedure growth, both in the U.S. and abroad, remained robust and reflects increasing utilization across our growing installed base, providing clear evidence of the compelling value surgeons see in our technology and a clear path for LENSAR to continue growing its recurring revenue base and its overall business."
WTI Crude Oil Prices Fall Below $93, Market Sentiment Recovers
Reports that the easing chokehold on a critical global energy supply that is the Straight of Hormuz helped sentiment recover on Monday as WTI Crude Oil prices fell over $7 below $93 per barrel and major indices bounced for the first time in five trading sessions. Some of the higher-beta areas of the market outperformed and even Energy names traded firmer, while the more defensively oriented consumer staples underperformed. Tech Hardware and Semis were especially strong, with names like Sandiskup 6.4% and Micronup 3.7% approaching 2026 highs. In the opening hour of the evening session, sentiment is less exuberant - both S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures are down by over a decimal. WTI has also come off its Monday lows to trade above $94.50, while precious metals are seeing little volatility as USD rally appears to have stalled.Check out this evening's top movers from around Wall Street, compiled by The Fly.HIGHER AFTER EARNINGS -Babcock & Wilcox Enterprisesup 8.5%ALSO HIGHER -New Era Energy & Digitalup 8.9% after naming new CFODOWN AFTER EARNINGS -Bakktdown 6.6%Ampco-Pittsburghdown 6.0%ALSO LOWER -LENSARdown 24.2% after terminating Alcon mergerRhythm Pharmaceuticalsdown 5.0% after announcing EMANATE trial substudies did not meet primary endpoints
