Elevance Health Reports Q3 Revenue of $50.4B, Exceeds Expectations
Reports Q3 revenue $50.4B, consensus $49.16B. "Elevance Health's third quarter results reflect stronger execution across our diversified portfolio and underscore the earnings power of the business. We are raising our 2026 earnings outlook and remain confident in delivering at least 12% growth in adjusted diluted earnings per share in 2027 from our higher earnings baseline of at least $26.75. By bringing together the capabilities of our Health Benefits business and Carelon, we are improving the healthcare experience, strengthening our competitive advantage, and creating long-term value for our shareholders."
Nasdaq Composite Falls 1.3% as Tech Stocks Struggle
S&P 500 slipped for the second consecutive day while losses on the tech-dominant Nasdaq Composite accelerated, with the index finishing lower by 1.3% on Thursday. Technology was by far the worst-performing sector in the benchmark S&P as AI buildout theme was thumped by a Financial Times report, stating that OpenAI's annualized revenues were closer to $50B at the end of September - well below the $70B figure previously circulated. Micron, Sandisk, Intel, Broadcom, Seagate, AMDand Oraclewere among the 20 worst stocks in the S&P 500, with losses of at least 4%. Meanwhile, software and IT services stocks such as Accentureand Gartner- names viewed to be most exposed to AI disruption - rallied by at least 5%.In the opening hour of the evening session, S&P e-minis and Nasdaq 100 contracts are up a decimal. In commodities, WTI Crude Oil was off the highs but still above $91 per barrel. Elevance Health Launches 2027 Medicare Advantage Plans
Elevance Health announced that its affiliated health plans will offer 2027 Medicare Advantage plans designed to help members navigate healthcare more confidently through meaningful choice, simpler benefit experiences and personalized support that reflects individual health needs. As members evaluate Medicare coverage for 2027, many want to understand their benefits, connect to care, manage healthcare costs and know where to turn for support throughout the year. Elevance Health-affiliated plans are designed with that experience in mind, combining local healthcare relationships with benefits and services that support members' health and well-being across their healthcare journey. The 2027 portfolio also reflects a targeted approach to markets where affiliated health plans can draw on local capabilities and provider relationships to deliver a strong member experience. Medicare Advantage plans are offered by affiliates of Elevance Health under local brands including Anthem, Wellpoint, HealthSun, Simply Healthcare, Freedom Health, Optimum HealthCare and, in Puerto Rico, MMM. Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7, 2026, for coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2027.

The IDIQ covers initial procurement and future orders of PrSM Increment 2 missiles, follow-on production and continued development. Work will be performed at Lockheed Martin facilities and across the company's U.S. industrial base. PrSM Increment 2 completed its first flight test in March and its second flight test in August - obtaining critical data during flight, launching from a HIMARS, deploying protective covers and engaging the target. Technologies developed through Lockheed Martin's Strigo family of solutions have informed aspects of the PrSM Increment 2 guidance package. Additional PrSM Increment 2 flight tests are scheduled for 2027. This award builds on the Department of War's broader investment in PrSM. Lockheed Martin is expanding capacity to quadruple PrSM production while continuing to develop additional PrSM increments. Lockheed Martin will begin production of the initial Increment 2 missiles while continuing flight testing and system maturation. The company is positioned to scale production as the Army moves toward larger Increment 2 procurements.
