Blue Gold Signs Multiple Strategic Acquisition Term Sheets
Blue Gold announced that it has entered into multiple strategic acquisition term sheets as it executes its strategy to build a diversified portfolio of producing gold mining assets. Over the past 30 days, Blue Gold has executed non-binding term sheets with a number of independent mining companies to acquire all, or substantially all, of their operating businesses. Each of the proposed acquisitions represents an established operating mining business with existing or historic production, experienced operating teams and the prospect of near-term positive cash flow. The company believes completion of any one of these transactions has the potential to materially increase Blue Gold's operating scale, generate near-term operating profit sufficient to substantially cover corporate overhead and provide a platform for continued organic and acquisition-driven growth.
Blue Gold Appoints James Samuelson as CFO
Blue Gold announced the appointment of James Samuelson as CFO, effective June 1. Samuelson succeeds Lorenz Werndle who will step down as CFO effective May 31 to pursue another executive opportunity with a publicly listed company in the United Kingdom. Werndle will remain with the company through June 24 to facilitate a transition of responsibilities.
