U.S. GoldMining Completes Surface Exploration at Whistler Project
U.S. GoldMining announces the completion of a surface exploration program at its 100% owned Whistler Gold-Copper Project in Alaska. Alongside the recently completed 7,493 meters of diamond core drilling across 10 targets within the Whistler Orbit the Company executed an extensive surface exploration campaign across the broader property. The Program, including identification and sampling of new outcrop zones of gold-copper porphyry-style mineralization, supports a systematic evaluation of district-scale mineral systems to build and expand a pipeline of high-priority drill targets aimed at discovering new gold-copper resources. Highlights: Expands the District-Scale Target Pipeline: Prospecting, geological mapping, and rock chip sampling were completed with the aim of adding prospects to the existing robust pipeline of exploration targets across the Whistler Project. Field observations indicate potential extensions to the known gold-copper porphyry mineral systems at Whistler-Raintree and Island Mountain, while further defining target areas within the emerging Muddy Creek intrusion-related gold system. Whistler Orbit Footprint Expanded: Geologists identified and sampled new outcrop zones of gold-copper porphyry-style mineralization featuring porphyritic intrusions, phyllic and potassic alteration, and diagnostic quartz-sulfide veining, associated with historical elevated gold and copper rock grab samples. Island Mountain Anomalies Extended: Reconnaissance mapping over zones of historical elevated gold and copper rock grab samples indicates targets to support potential resource expansion to the northwest of the existing drill-delineated mineral resource, in addition to identification of untested geochemical and geophysical anomalies outside of the known resource. Muddy Creek Drill Vectors Defined: Mapping and prospecting programs built upon the 2025 field campaign, sharpening vectors toward future drill targets. Work focused on areas with higher tenor gold in historical rock grab samples, and high-density quartz veining along contact zones between the host granodiorite intrusion and sedimentary country rocks - a classic setting for intrusion-related gold mineralization. Growth Potential: Surface exploration is designed to delineate high-priority targets for future drill testing with the goal of ultimately expanding the Whistler Project's existing mineral resource inventory, which currently comprises 5.41 Moz AuEq of indicated resources and 4.97 Moz AuEq of inferred resources across the Whistler, Raintree West, and Island Mountain deposits. Surface Assays Pending: The Company submitted 58 rock grab samples for gold, copper, and multi-element assaying to characterize grade distribution, mineralogical associations and geological context.
U.S. GoldMining Completes 2026 Exploration Program at Whistler Project
U.S. GoldMining has completed its 2026 exploration program at its 100% owned Whistler Gold-Copper Project in Alaska. Highlights: 7,493 meters completed in the Whistler Orbit: The Program is the largest drilling program since inception of the Company and was safely concluded after completing 17 core drill holes across ten target areas. The drilling tested high-priority Whistler Orbit drill targets seeking to delineate new gold-copper mineralized porphyry intrusions and extend known mineral systems. Systematically Testing District-Scale Mineral Systems: The 100% owned 53,700-acre Whistler land package extends well beyond the existing estimated mineral resources. In the north, the Whistler Orbit represents a classic 'porphyry cluster' spanning a 7.5 km by 4.5 km area, which contains the existing Whistler and Raintree deposits. In the south, the Island Mountain mineral system hosts an inferred mineral resource alongside additional high-priority exploration targets. The Company believes that the emerging Muddy Creek mineral system has the potential to host intrusion-related gold mineralization. Building an Exploration Pipeline: The Whistler Gold-Copper Project hosts 5.41 Moz AuEq of estimated indicated mineral resources and 4.97 Moz AuEq of estimated inferred mineral resources across the Whistler, Raintree West and Island Mountain deposits. The March 2026 Whistler initial assessment, which included a preliminary economic assessment, modeled an estimated after-tax NPV5% of $2.04B and internal rate of return of 33.0%, with an estimated payback on initial capital of 2.1 years. Crucially, the study conservatively incorporates only the indicated mineral resources from just the Whistler deposit, one of three deposits within the overall Project mineral resources. The PEA provides a base case economic framework for the Project and a robust investment thesis for continued technical evaluation, de-risking and advancement. Sample Processing: On-site core logging and sampling is well advanced. The Company anticipates initial assay results, including from regional mapping and prospecting, in the coming weeks and through to the end of 2026, subject to laboratory turnaround times. Tim Smith, CEO, commented: "Our 2026 drilling program concluded safely, on schedule and on budget. We drilled a record 7,493 meters across 17 drill holes testing 10 individual target areas for potential new zones of gold-copper mineralization. By targeting the Whistler Orbit, we are aggressively hunting for the next major porphyry center potentially situated right next door to our primary Whistler deposit, which underpins our robust base case PEA. Expanding across our district-scale property, we made exciting progress on exploration target areas at Island Mountain, Muddy Creek and Long Lake Hills. We look forward to providing the market with updates on assay results over the coming months."
U.S. GoldMining Reveals New Findings from Metallurgical Testing Program
U.S. GoldMining announces updated results from the metallurgical test work program which commenced earlier this year for the Whistler Gold-Copper Project, located 105 miles northwest of Anchorage, Alaska. Tim Smith, Chief Executive Officer of U.S. GoldMining, commented: "The Company is delighted with the 2025 metallurgical test work results which have confirmed that high gold recoveries in excess of 85% may be achievable at the Project."
U.S. GoldMining provides update regarding West Susitna Access Project
U.S. GoldMining provided an update with respect to discussions with representatives from the State of Alaska and Matanuska-Susitna Borough, or MSB, regarding plans to advance the West Susitna Access Project, or WSAP. The Company is very pleased to report, based on discussions to date, continued strong support at all levels of government for the Whistler Gold-Copper Project and that all critical elements of the WSAP, which will connect Whistler with existing highway, rail, power and port infrastructure, are moving forwards expeditiously with respect to design, environmental baseline studies, stakeholder engagement and permitting. U.S. GoldMining's President and CEO, Tim Smith, was invited to meet with Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy on August 7 and with the Executive Director of the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority and the Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. The meeting included an update for industry representatives by AIDEA, which recently submitted a permit application for its 78.5 miles of proposed public and industry road that will connect Whistler with existing transportation and energy infrastructure in the eastern MSB. Smith also met with MSB Mayor, Edna DeVries, on August 6, 2025, to share updates on the Company's progress at Whistler and to hear about MSB's development plans at Port Mackenzie, located at the eastern terminus of the WSAP. The WSAP comprises two elements: ADOT&PF's project to build 22-miles of new public road extending west from the existing road network in Southcentral Alaska, and a further 78.5-miles of public and industry road being led by AIDEA that will extend into the foothills of the Alaska Range, terminating at the Company's exploration camp near the Whisky Bravo airstrip. The WSAP will connect existing road, power, rail and port infrastructure in the eastern MSB, with multiple natural resource development projects located in the West Susitna Mining District, including the Company's Whistler Project.
U.S. GoldMining to join Russell 3000 Index
U.S. GoldMining has been added as a member of the broad-market Russell 3000 Index according to a preliminary list published by FTSE on its website in connection with its annual reconstitution of the index. The reconstitution is expected to take effect after the U.S. Market closes on June 27, 2025.
