Datacentrex Invests $30M in Eagle LNG
Datacentrex announced that it has entered into a Common Unit Purchase Agreement and invested $30M in ELNG Equity, the equity holding company of Eagle LNG Partners, acquiring $30M of Class A Common Units. Eagle LNG is a vertically integrated producer of liquefied natural gas and a qualified supplier of the aerospace-specification liquid methane used to fuel next-generation American launch vehicles. Eagle LNG produces high-methane, aerospace-specification LNG required by the next generation of American reusable launch vehicles. The investment is being made concurrently with, and at the same value per unit as, a $10M commitment by an affiliate of The Energy & Minerals Group. Funds managed by EMG are Eagle LNG's controlling sponsor and an existing investor in the business. Eagle LNG has been producing and delivering LNG since 2017 and serves a contracted customer base across space propulsion, marine bunkering, island utility and industrial end-markets under long-term take-or-pay supply agreements with a weighted average tenor of approximately 15 years. Since 2018 it has completed more than 700 LNG bunkering operations, both ship-to-shore and ship-to-ship, without incident.
Datacentrex Secures Deployment of 500 Additional Miners
Datacentrex (DTCX) announced it has secured colocation capacity for the deployment of more than 500 additional ElphaPex DG2 Scrypt ASIC miners. The units, which were purchased and paid for in a prior period, are expected to be delivered and energized within the next 30 days. The miners were prepaid in full in 2025, so no additional capital will be deployed to acquire the units, and the company's cash position is unaffected by the purchase. The company currently operates 3,085 Scrypt ASIC miners representing approximately 43.2 TH/s of deployed hashrate and approximately 12.5 MW of deployed power capacity across four geographically diversified colocation facilities, all located in the United States. Upon full energization, the incremental units are expected to add approximately 9.0 TH/s of Scrypt hashrate, increasing aggregate deployed hashrate to approximately 52 TH/s, an increase of approximately 21%, and improve the weighted-average energy efficiency of the company's deployed fleet. Scrypt mining economics have improved sharply in recent sessions, with dogecoin (DOGE-USD) appreciating approximately 32% over the past week and trading near 9c. Because the company's fleet merge-mines dogecoin and litecoin (LTC-USD) under the Scrypt algorithm, mining revenue is directly linked to price movements in either asset.
