Navan Partners with OpenTable for Personalized Restaurant Booking
Navan and OpenTable announced a new partnership to bring hyper-personalized restaurant discovery and reservation booking directly to travelers through Navan Edge. "Dining is an essential part of the travel experience, but finding the right spot shouldn't feel like work," said Robin Chiang, Chief Growth Officer at OpenTable. "By bringing OpenTable directly into Navan Edge, we're making it effortless for business travelers to manage their entire itinerary in one place-connecting them to everything from fine dining to great casual spots near their hotel. At the same time, it gives our restaurant partners a powerful new channel to fill dining rooms and reach high-value corporate diners who are actively looking for great places to eat."

Navan Introduces Latest Policy Control System
Navan introduced its most granular set of policy controls yet. This next evolution of its policy and approval engine gives global enterprises precise financial control while providing travelers with even clearer choices. Key capabilities introduced with this update allows travel managers to: Expand flexibility for flight policies: Building on Navan's existing traveler- and trip-aware controls, further tailor cost limits, cabin eligibility, advance-booking requirements, upgrade rules, and other parameters by traveler group and flight duration. Define trip-length-aware rail policies: Tailor rail policy by journey duration and traveler group. Expanded cabin-class controls increase the number of categories from two to four, better reflecting the range of classes offered across the more than 60 rail carriers available through Navan. Set flexible hotel limits across countries: Enforce country-level nightly hotel limits with city-specific exceptions, using them alongside dynamic, market-based policies or as a standalone spend control.
Navan Releases 2026 H1 Business Travel Benchmark, Up 13.5%
Navan released its latest Navan Business Travel Benchmark for the first half of 2026. The data reveals a continued widening in the gap between the business and consumer travel economies. Business travel grew 13.5% year-over-year, while broader leisure travel remained essentially flat as data from the TSA rose 0.5% during the same period. "Travel is highly seasonal but the divergence between business and leisure in the first half of this year was more pronounced than we've seen," said Aurelien Nolf, Chief Financial Officer at Navan. "Even as broader travel plateaued, businesses kept investing in face-to-face interactions because of its essential role in driving growth, serving customers, and building teams. In line with our expectations, the BTB grew by 13.5% year-over-year as corporate travel remained strong and resilient."
