Eli Lilly Reports 79% Response Rate for Sofe-M in Ovarian Cancer

Eli Lilly and Company announced new Phase 1 data showing that its investigational folate receptor alpha antibody-drug conjugate sofetabart mipitecan, Sofe-M, plus bevacizumab achieved a confirmed objective response rate, cORR, of 79% and a disease control rate, DCR, of 100% in patients with platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer, PSOC. A cORR of 79% or higher was seen in both poly polymerase inhibitor-treated and PARPi-naive patients. These data will be shared in an oral presentation at the European Society for Medical Oncology, ESMO, Annual Congress in Madrid, Spain. Key highlights: Sofetabart mipitecan in combination with bevacizumab demonstrated a 79% confirmed objective response rate and 100% disease control rate, with similar activity observed across FRalpha expression levels; Clinical activity with Sofe-M was maintained even in patients with prior PARP inhibitor exposure, patients who typically experience poor outcomes with platinum-based chemotherapy; Sofe-M is currently being studied in both platinum-sensitive and platinum-resistant ovarian cancer in multiple Phase 3 studies as part of the FRAmework-01 master protocol

Eli Lilly Announces New Olomorasib Data

Eli Lilly and Company (LLY) announced new first-line data on olomorasib at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology, ESMO, Congress in Madrid, Spain. Results shared in a poster presentation from the Phase 1/2 LOXO-RAS-20001 trial and the safety lead-in portion of the Phase 3 SUNRAY-01 trial of olomorasib plus Merck's (MRK) anti-PD-1 therapy KEYTRUDA, without chemotherapy, in first-line KRAS G12C-mutant non-small cell lung cancer show that median progression-free survival and duration of response had not been reached after a median follow-up of nearly 21 months, with durable activity observed across PD-L1 levels. Separate results in an oral presentation show olomorasib plus chemoimmunotherapy achieved an investigator-assessed overall response rate, ORR, of 62% and median DOR of 14.5 months in first-line advanced KRAS G12C NSCLC with a median of nearly 19 months follow up.

Eli Lilly Invests $5B in New Virginia Manufacturing Facility

Eli Lilly and Company broke ground on a new $5B manufacturing facility just west of Richmond, Virginia, in Goochland County, one of 10 new U.S. manufacturing sites announced since 2020 and one of five among them that will produce active pharmaceutical ingredients. As part of the company's more than $50B push to expand medicine production in the U.S., the Richmond site will be Lilly's first to produce both API and finished medicines in a fully integrated facility, with dedicated API capacity for bioconjugate and large-molecule medicines. The facility will produce antibody-drug conjugates, targeted cancer treatments designed to combine the precision of antibodies with potent cytotoxic medicines to attack diseased cells directly while limiting exposure to healthy tissue. ADCs are also being explored for autoimmune diseases and other conditions. Lilly is currently hiring in Richmond and expects the new facility to create 650 high-wage jobs like engineers, scientists, operations personnel, and lab technicians - along with approximately 1,800 construction jobs as the site is built and brought online.
