DoorDash Launches AI Tools to Assist Dashers
DoorDash announced new AI tools to help Dashers get started and get more from every dash. The goal is simple: put new technology to work for the millions of people who dash each year, from instant answers on a first delivery to personalized recommendations for making the most of their time on the road. The company said, "Dashing is a flexible and fast way to earn on your own terms. But that first delivery comes with plenty of questions: How do I schedule a dash? What's a hotspot? When do I get paid? Getting through that first delivery is a big part of whether someone keeps dashing. That's why we're launching DashBuddy, a new AI-powered assistant that gets Dashers the answer they need, the moment they need it. New Dashers don't have to know the app or the Help Center inside and out. They can just send a text over SMS and get an answer. No call to support required...Getting started is one part of dashing. Reaching your goals through dashing is another. As Dashers gain experience, their needs and questions change. That's why we're rolling out new AI-powered tools directly in the Dasher app. A Dasher wondering when to head out this Friday doesn't have to guess anymore. They just ask, in their own words: "When and where should I dash on Friday?" And they hear back something built just for them: maybe 11 AM to 2 PM in their neighborhood, timed so they're still home for school pickup. We're rolling these tools out to Dashers across the U.S., and the early signs are promising."
DoorDash Introduces New Text Ordering Method
The company said, "Starting today, DoorDash is introducing a new way to order by text, while adding even more ways to restock your groceries faster and score savings effortlessly. This launch expands on Ask DoorDash, our in-app assistant designed to help you find exactly what you want to order. With more than 800,000 menu items and grocery products available to an average person in the U.S. to choose from on DoorDash, now it's easier than ever to zero in on exactly what you want and where to find it, so you can get more done with less work."
DoorDash Launches DashOS Platform to Help Restaurants Grow
The company said, "The restaurant experiences people remember are personal. That might mean a recommendation that feels made just for you, a loyalty reward ready to use when you walk through the door, or a server who already knows your usual order. These are the experiences that turn first-time customers into regulars, and regulars help restaurants grow. But the tools restaurants rely on to create these experiences often do not work together. Today, DoorDash introduced DashOS, built to change that. DashOS is one platform to help restaurants grow. It works behind the scenes, connecting DoorDash's products across Marketplace, direct ordering, reservations, loyalty, guest management and marketing, without requiring restaurants to adopt a separate system or overhaul their operations. At its core, it connects a customer's interactions with the same restaurant across channels, whether they order from that restaurant on DoorDash or directly, join its loyalty program, make a reservation or dine there. This helps operators better understand their own customers, personalize their experiences and build stronger relationships, no matter where the relationship begins. The result is a restaurant that knows its customers better over time, can spend less to bring them back and can grow more profitably because of it."
