Evotec Enters Strategic R&D Collaboration with Odyssey Therapeutics
Evotec (EVO) announced that it has entered a strategic R&D collaboration with Odyssey Therapeutics (ODTX) to discover potential new treatments in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Under the agreement, Odyssey will leverage Evotec's integrated data-driven discovery platform, advanced screening capabilities and AI-enabled data science technologies to discover and validate differentiated small molecule drug candidates across multiple high-value disease targets. By combining high-throughput experimentation with machine learning-driven analysis, the collaboration is designed to accelerate the identification of validated hit series and enable the rapid progression of therapeutic programs with the potential to transform the standard of care. The collaboration combines Odyssey's deep expertise in autoimmune and inflammatory disease biology with Evotec's discovery infrastructure and proprietary compound libraries. By bringing together complementary scientific and technological strengths, the companies aim to accelerate early-stage research and efficiently generate and advance new medicines.
Niagen Bioscience Selects Evotec to Support NB4168 Development
Niagen Bioscience (NAGE) announced that it has selected Evotec (EVO) as a contract research organization to support the advancement of NB4168. The work will be conducted in collaboration with NAD Pharmaceuticals, Niagen Bioscience's wholly owned subsidiary focused on developing therapies for accelerated aging and rare genetic diseases. Under the collaboration, Evotec will conduct pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies and validate bioanalytical methods to further characterize NB4168 and support Niagen Bioscience's preclinical and Investigational New Drug-enabling development activities. NB4168 is Niagen Bioscience's proprietary oral small-molecule candidate initially developed for Ataxia Telangiectasia, a rare pediatric genetic disease with no approved treatments.
Evotec Expands Just - Evotec Biologics Services
Evotec announced the expansion of its Just - Evotec Biologics services with J.TRAIN, a new offering that enables biopharmaceutical companies to deploy Evotec's continuous manufacturing technology directly within their own facilities on a turnkey basis. J.TRAIN brings together prefabricated modular cleanrooms and manufacturing equipment with Just - Evotec Biologics' cGMP-compliant process automation.
Evotec Nominates Small Molecule Candidate for Skin Disease Treatment
Evotec announced the nomination of a small molecule preclinical development candidate from its multi-target drug discovery alliance in medical dermatology with Almirall. The program is aimed at developing novel treatments for immune-mediated inflammatory skin diseases with high unmet medical need. Evotec will continue to support the program toward IND submission through its INDiGO platform, an integrated, accelerated IND-enabling platform designed to ensure a transition from discovery to clinical readiness.
Evotec Receives $4.9M Grant from Gates Foundation for TB Drug Development
Evotec announced that it has received two grants from the Gates Foundation for drug discovery and translation in tuberculosis, following four earlier TB grants from the foundation, amounting to $4.9M over 25 months and $5M over 24 months. The grant programs will expand the pipeline of TB drug candidates and advance the most promising combinations toward clinical evaluation, reducing development risk.
