Textron Aviation Secures Order for 21 Aircraft from Civil Air Patrol
Textron Aviation, a Textron company, announced an order from Civil Air Patrol, CAP, for 21 additional Cessna piston aircraft that will support CAP's emergency response, training and community missions across the U.S. Deliveries are expected to be completed in 2027. The order includes seven Cessna Skyhawk 172 aircraft, 11 Cessna Skylane 182 aircraft, two Cessna Turbo Skylane T182T aircraft and one Cessna Turbo Stationair HD 206 aircraft.
Textron Aviation Rolls Out First CJ4 Gen3 Production Unit
Textron Aviation, a Textron company, recently announced the rollout of the first production unit of the Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen3. The rollout represents Textron Aviation's continued investment in the light jet lineup, bringing Garmin G3000 PRIME avionics, Garmin Emergency Autoland and other customer-driven enhancements to the Citation CJ4 platform.
Textron Aviation Delivers First Cessna SkyCourier to Paraguayan Air Force
Textron Aviation, a Textron company, announced the Paraguayan Air Force has become the first South American military operator of the Cessna SkyCourier turboprop. Funded by Itaipu Binacional, the aircraft joins the force's existing fleet of Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft. The Cessna SkyCourier purchase will help the Paraguayan Air Force deliver critical relief services to communities across the country. The SkyCourier will enhance the Air Force's capability to perform medical evacuations, transport patients and provide rapid humanitarian aid during disaster relief efforts.
Textron Aviation and Merlin Introduce New Cessna SkyCourier UX Aircraft
Textron Aviation, a Textron company, and Merlin introduced a concept Cessna SkyCourier UX aircraft that combines Textron Aviation's proven Cessna SkyCourier platform with Merlin's aircraft-agnostic software solution for autonomous aviation. Revealed at the Air, Space & Cyber Conference, the concept explores a "new cost-efficient and scalable approach to addressing logistical challenges with supplying forces dispersed across contested operational environments when traditional supply routes are constrained, vulnerable or otherwise unavailable," the company said.
Textron Appoints Brian Rohloff as CEO of Aviation Segment
Textron announced the appointment of Brian Rohloff as president and CEO of its Textron Aviation segment, effective August 31. Rohloff succeeds Ron Draper, who announced his retirement after more than 27 years with Textron, including the past eight years leading Textron Aviation. Rohloff has held leadership positions at Textron Aviation spanning customer support, sales, supply chain and quality throughout his career, providing a broad perspective across the business. Most recently, he served as senior vice president, Customer Support, where he led Textron Aviation's global customer support operations.
