The major averages closed sharply lower to kick off September amid increasing tensions between the U.S. and Iran. Inflation concerns and surging oil prices lifted bond yields in the U.S. and elsewhere as worries continue to mount over whether the Federal Reserve will tighten monetary policy later this month.U.S. Central Command announced that U.S. forces began striking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets in Iran. The major averages were broadly lower to start the month of September as inflation concerns and rising oil prices lifted bond yields in the U.S. and elsewhere. Stellantis Appoints Stephanie Hartgrove as Chief Communications Officer
Stellantis (STLA) announced a senior leadership appointment, effective September 1. Stephanie Hartgrove has been appointed chief communications officer, reporting to CEO Antonio Filosa, and joins the Stellantis leadership team. She joins Stellantis from Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), where she served as global vice president of MedTech communications and public affairs.
