3M Launches 92 New Products, Innovation Returns

In an interview on CNBC's Mad Money, William Brown said 3M is back to innovation. Organic growth is becoming sustainable and durable, he noted. The company launched 92 new products in Q2, up 44% versus last year, and it expects to launch more than 350 new products this year. The company's data center business is "relatively small now, but growing very quickly," he added. Brown is "very encouraged" by 3M's position in the safety sector and he expects it to grow significantly over time.
