Smith & Nephew announced that its Cartiheal Agili-C Cartilage Repair Implant is now commercially available in Europe. The Cartiheal Implant will be at this week's International Cartilage Regeneration & Joint Preservation Society, or ICRS, Summit in Porto, Portugal from October 8-10.

Smith+Nephew announces it received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, FDA, and has completed the first surgical cases with LANDMARK Total Knee System. Smith & Nephew CFO John Rogers Resigns
Smith & Nephew announced that John Rogers informed the board of his intention to leave his position as Chief Financial Officer on September 30 to take up an external position in the U.S.. He will step down from the board with immediate effect and a search has been initiated for his successor, the company added. Pierre Palassian, Group Controller, will serve as interim Chief Financial Officer until a successor is appointed.
Smith+Nephew Granted FDA De Novo Classification for TESSA System
Smith+Nephew announces it has been granted De Novo classification by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration for its TESSA Spatial Surgery System. Utilizing cutting-edge accelerated computing and AI technology, the TESSA System brings personalized planning, augmented reality, advanced imaging, navigation, and real-time tracking to help transform arthroscopic procedures, leveraging technology originally developed by Perceive3D S.A., a spin-off from the University of Coimbra that became part of Smith+Nephew through acquisition. With De Novo classification, the TESSA System serves as the first device in a new FDA category for intra-articular orthopedic stereotaxic navigation instruments, the company said.
