Karman Appoints Chris Boynton as CFO
Karman announced that Chris Boynton will join Karman as CFO, effective September 14. Current CFO Mike Willis will depart Karman following a phased transition process, by year-end. This transition is the result of deliberative succession planning process by Karman leadership following its February 2025 Initial Public Offering. Most recently, Boynton served as CFO of Raytheon Missiles & Defense, a multi-billion dollar business unit with thousands of employees. Previously, he led financial operations for a multi-billion dollar shared services organization as Vice President & CFO of RTX Enterprise Services.
Karman Space & Defense Secures $21.3M Contract from Northrop Grumman
Karman Space & Defense announced that Northrop Grumman Corporation has awarded a $21.3M contract for the Proof of Manufacture phase of the U.S. Navy's MK 54 Torpedo Fleet Exercise Section program. This contract award builds on Karman's decades of proven performance as a critical supplier of maritime defense systems across submarine, surface ship, and autonomous naval platforms, including mission critical undersea warfare and fleet readiness applications.
Karman Space Acquires Walker Precision for Approximately $94M
Karman Space & Defense announced an agreement to acquire Glasgow-headquartered Walker Precision Engineering for total consideration of approximately $94M. Walker's advanced products support missile seekers, guidance systems and control systems on more than 25 EU tactical missile, air and defense programs for prime contractors whose reach extends around the globe. The acquisition accelerates Karman's expansion beyond the United States, providing a European footprint from which to add to its 17 locations across eight U.S. states. The transaction is expected to close during the third quarter of Karman's fiscal year 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

Baker Hughes (BKR) is to acquire Chart Industries (GTLS) in a deal expected to close July 16, pending final closing conditions.
Karman Space & Defense Invests $2.7M to Expand Facility
Karman Space & Defense announced the expansion of its Horsham, Pa. facility through a $2.7M investment. The investment will expand Karman's capacity to rapidly develop and produce advanced technologies that support the operational readiness of US Navy and allied defense forces. The expanded facility, which builds on Karman's recent strategic acquisition of Seemann Composites and Materials Sciences, will accelerate the development, testing and qualification of advanced material technologies while increasing production capacity to meet the Navy's demand signal. These capabilities will support the Navy's need for more durable, high-performance coatings and survivability treatments that strengthen mission readiness for LCAC100 class propulsion system components while also addressing evolving maritime threats relevant to the broader surface Navy fleet. As part of the expansion, the company will create approximately 20 new high-tech jobs and retain 40 existing positions, supporting continued investment in the local workforce and contributing to the regional advanced manufacturing economy.
