KBR Awarded Project by Aramco to Upgrade Marjan Offshore Field
KBR has been awarded a project by Aramco to support the upgrade of facilities across the Marjan offshore field in the Arabian Gulf. Under the contract, KBR will provide engineering and project execution services to support key offshore processing, gas compression, and power infrastructure facilities within the Marjan field. The project is expected to maintain the Marjan field's production capacity through recent field developments. It is also expected to help advance associated gas processing capabilities and strengthen long-term performance of critical offshore assets through the integration of digital technologies, automation, and power system enhancements.
KBR Files Form 10 for Planned Spin-Off of Trinzic
KBR announced the filing of a Form 10 registration statement with the U.S. SEC in connection with the planned spin-off of its Mission Technology Solutions business, which is expected to operate as Trinzic and be traded on the New York Stock Exchange as "TZIC." Upon completion of the separation, expected in January 2027, Trinzic will be positioned as a global provider of mission-critical solutions supporting national security, defense and space customers, backed by decades of operational and technical expertise, with operations across over 60 locations in North America, Europe and Australia/Pacific.
KBR Selected by SABIC for New Ammonia Plant in Saudi Arabia
KBR announced that SABIC Agri-Nutrients has selected its Purifiertechnology for a new grassroots ammonia plant in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. KBR will provide technology licensing, basic engineering design, proprietary equipment, and catalyst supply for a 3,500 metric tons per day single-train ammonia plant. KBR will work alongside EPC contractor Samsung E&A to deliver the project. The facility will produce 1.2 million metric tons of ammonia annually. The project is expected to increase SABIC AN's urea production capacity from 4.8 million to 7.4 million metric tons per year, supporting the company's strategy to expand fertilizer production. The award represents one of the largest ammonia capacity plants licensed in the Kingdom and KBR's largest ammonia license by capacity in the Middle East and Africa. This award marks KBR's second large-scale single-train ammonia award of 2026, following a 3,430 MTPD plant in Latin America.
KBR Wins Three-Year Contract to Advance Mission Technology Solutions
KBR announced that its Mission Technology Solutions business, which will become Trinzic following its planned spin-off, has won a three-year contract to continue advancing mission-critical radio frequency engineering and modernization for a U.S. government customer. The award supports the continuity and readiness of essential national security systems. It reinforces KBR's strategic position as a trusted technology partner, combining deep mission expertise with an outcome-driven approach and rapid execution. KBR will deliver end-to-end manufacturing capabilities under the Time and Materials contract, enabling mission-critical systems that must perform without interruption across long program lifecycles. Execution requires highly specialized precision engineering, advanced materials expertise, disciplined process control and strict compliance with defense-grade standards. The program prioritizes rapid delivery aligned with government timelines. KBR integrates engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and quality to accelerate throughput, field upgraded capabilities with Speed to Mission ImpactSM, while maintaining schedule discipline across upgrades and sustainment efforts.
KBR Secures $1.1B Weather Contract
KBR announced its Mission Technology Solutions business, which will be Trinzic after its planned spin-off, will help keep the U.S. prepared for extreme weather following its award of the Commercial Data Program National Mesonet Program, CDP NMP, contract by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Weather Service. The single-award follow-on contract has a ceiling value of $1.1B over five years. Under the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity, IDIQ, expanded, re-competed contract, which is structured as a firm-fixed-price unit contract, KBR will provide essential weather and related observational data from commercial stations, university or research campuses and other non-federal providers nationwide. The award will enable KBR to continue delivering rapid, high-quality weather data that helps forecasters better predict severe storms, extreme temperatures and other high-impact weather across the United States. Work will be performed at locations throughout the U.S., with program management in Greenbelt, Maryland. The period of performance spans September 2026 through August 2031.
