Granite Awarded $12.3M Contract by University of Washington
Granite has been awarded a progressive design build contract by the University of Washington for the Burke-Gilman Trail Transit Access, Safety Efficiency Improvements Project. The total construction value is approximately $12.3M. The project was included in Granite's Q2 CAP. The Burke-Gilman Trail is a popular recreational trail stretching roughly 20 miles through Seattle. The project will widen sections of the trail footprint to improve safety and accommodate the increasing volume of users. Construction is anticipated to begin in Spring 2027 and conclude in the first quarter of 2029.
Granite Awarded $31 Million Contract by Hydrostor
Granite announced that it has been awarded an approximately $31 million Early Works Grading Package by Hydrostor for its Willow Rock Energy Storage Center (WRESC) Project, located north of Rosamond in Kern County, California. The award will be included in Granite's third quarter 2026 CAP. Tock Energy Storage Center is a planned 500 MW Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage (A-CAES) facility in the Mojave Desert, capable of powering more than 400,000 homes for eight hours. Granite's early works grading phase of the project began in July 2026 and is planned to conclude in March 2027.
Granite Reports Q2 Revenue of $1.5B
Reports Q2 revenue $1.5B, consensus $1.41B. "We continued to execute against our strategy and deliver on our long-term financial objectives during the quarter," said Kyle Larkin, Granite President and Chief Executive Officer. "Despite headwinds created by severe weather in the southeast, we generated strong organic revenue growth, increased adjusted EBITDA and operating cash flow, completed the acquisition of Kenny Seng Construction, and strengthened our capital structure by issuing senior notes and calling our 3.75% convertible notes for redemption."
Company Raises FY26 Revenue Guidance to $5.28 Billion
FY26 consensus $5.28B. "During the quarter, we delivered strong growth in both revenue and CAP," said Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Staci Woolsey. "With our performance through the second quarter and opportunities ahead, we are raising our annual revenue guidance range by $100 million. Given the strength in both public and private infrastructure markets, we expect to deliver sustained elevated organic growth through the second half of 2026 and into 2027 and beyond."
Memphis Stone & Gravel Opens New Sales Facility in Tennessee
Memphis Stone & Gravel, A Granite Company, announced that it has opened the new River Yard aggregate sales facility in Memphis, Tennessee. Strategically located on the Mississippi River, the River Yard receives limestone products barged from Warren Paving's Slats Lucas Quarry in Salem, Kentucky, connecting operations within Granite's integrated materials network to create long-term value across the Southeast. The six-acre site officially opened in July 2026. The initial inventory of limestone products includes 610s, No. 8, 810, No. 57 and No. 4 stone.
