China Obtains F-35 Parts After UPS Employee Error
China managed to get a hold of parts from an F-35 stealth fighter jet after a United Parcel Service (UPS) employee missed an email warning not to route the shipment through Hong Kong, according to Bloomberg's Tony Capaccio, citing a person briefed on the matter. Freight forwarder firm DSV A/S, working on behalf of F-35 developer Lockheed Martin (LMT), sent the email noting that the parts must not transit through certain countries to comply with the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations, the report stated.
UPS Expects to Deliver Over 4B Packages by 2026
UPS is entering the busy 2026 holiday shipping season with expanded shipping options. From helping customers precisely track their shipments to enhanced package protection, customers benefit from the reliability and flexibility of UPS's industry leading end-to-end logistics network. A key part of reliable service is UPS's RFID-powered tracking technology, which offers more precise, real-time tracking information as packages move through the network. UPS expects to deliver more than 4B RFID-enabled packages by the end of 2026. UPS is expanding solutions that help businesses and consumers protect important shipments during the holiday season. Protected Delivery, a new service for eligible shipments, requires recipients to provide a PIN to the driver before a package is released, adding an extra layer of security for high-value purchases and other sensitive deliveries. The service complements UPS's broader package protection and fraud-prevention solutions as shipping volumes increase during peak season.

Chinese Government Seizes Potentially Sensitive F-35 Parts
The Chinese government has taken possession of potentially sensitive F-35 stealth aircraft parts that were diverted to Hong Kong while being sent to the U.S. from Australia, Tony Capaccio of Bloomberg reports, citing people briefed on the incident. UPS (UPS) was shipping a cockpit canopy and weapons-bay door from an Australian military F-35 that was being sent to the U.S. for inspection, sources told Bloomberg. The parts were supplied by F-35 manufacturer Lockheed Martin (LMT) and coated with radar-absorbing material, two people added. The Chinese government took possession of the parts but so far hasn't returned them, they added.
