Redwire Signs Teaming Agreement with Kanematsu Corporation
Redwire announced that it has signed a teaming agreement with Kanematsu Corporation. The collaboration combines Redwire's advanced space technologies with Kanematsu's extensive market expertise to support the growth of Japan's space industry. Under the terms of the agreement, Kanematsu will serve as Redwire's strategic commercial partner in Japan, supporting business development across both private and public sector space infrastructure offerings and related products, including power generation systems, microgravity payloads, and robotics technology.
Redwire Opens New 30,000 Sq Ft Facility in Indiana
Redwire Corporation has opened its new 30,000 square foot, vertically-integrated research and microgravity payload development facility in Georgetown, Indiana. The facility will serve as a global hub supporting accelerated demand as the company continues to expand its leadership in space-enabled research, development, and manufacturing with a focus on pharmaceutical/biotech innovation. "The new Georgetown facility serves as the cornerstone of Redwire's ability to scale, support major programs around the world, and help shape the expanding orbital economy that will drive the future of space development while benefiting millions here on Earth," said Mike Gold, President of Redwire Space. "The breakthroughs emerging from Georgetown will accelerate the development of the technology and capabilities that are enabling NASA to advance human spaceflight, drive life-changing discoveries for leading pharmaceutical and biotech partners, create new innovations in materials from semiconductors to fiber optics, and generally unlock the economic potential for commercial space stations."
Redwire Expands Huntsville Campus by 164,000 Square Feet
Redwire, together with the State of Alabama and the City of Huntsville, announced a major expansion of Redwire's Huntsville campus. Redwire is adding 164,000 square feet to its operational footprint in Huntsville, increasing the company's manufacturing and engineering capacity to develop and produce mission-critical technologies that strengthen America's leadership in space and provide advanced capabilities to the U.S. military and its allies. Supported by approximately $8.5 million in eligible state and local economic development incentives, Redwire is expected to create approximately 150 new high-skilled jobs spanning engineering, manufacturing, integration, and technical operations. Construction has already begun on the expanded campus, with building expected to be completed by Q4 2027.
Redwire Secures $21.5M Follow-On Orders
Redwire announced it has received follow-on awards totaling $21.5M in Purchase Orders, POs, supporting the Portfolio Acquisition Executive Robotic Autonomous Systems, PAE RAS, Aircraft Program Management Office, AIR PMO, Family of Small UAS Team. The follow-on awards were received in Q2 2026. These latest awards follow $20M in awards by AIR PMO received in Q1 2026, which included the Marine Corps' first acquisition of Redwire's Advanced Navigation version of the Stalker Block 30 uncrewed aircraft system. The latest awards include a second order for an Advanced Stalker Block 30, along with standard systems.
