The company said, "Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Salto, Brazil, Delta Star manufactures high-quality substation connectors designed to support reliable, long-term grid performance. The company has built a strong reputation for its engineered solutions and maintains deep, longstanding relationships with leading substation equipment manufacturers. This acquisition represents a key step in PLP's strategy to strengthen its global leadership in substation hardware and components. Delta Star complements PLP's recent acquisitions of SubCon Electrical Fittings in Austria, Maxxweld Conectores in Brazil, and Delta Conectores in Mexico, further expanding the company's global footprint and technical capabilities while significantly enhancing operational support to PLP's growing U.S. substation business."

Preformed Line Products expands operations and facilities in Europe

Preformed Line Products announced an expansion of its European operations to meet increasing market demand and reinforce its long-term commitment to the region. PLP has officially begun construction on a new multi-purpose facility in Wieprz, ywiec County, Poland, which will replace the company's current operations in nearby Bielsko-Biaa. The new facility will significantly increase manufacturing capabilities with a 30% increase in production space and a 50% increase in warehouse space while integrating modern spaces for engineering, operations, and sales support. Once completed in 2026, the site will become a key European hub for several of PLP's core product lines and services. Simultaneously, PLP is expanding its presence in Southern Europe by relocating its operations in Spain to a facility in Seville with 250% more operational space. The move is driven by rising demand, an expanding product portfolio, and the need to scale production to support the company's operations throughout the region.
