BTIG Lowers Enovis Price Target to $36

BTIG lowered the firm's price target on Enovis to $36 from $40 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares after the company announced a binding offer to acquire eCential Robotics for an upfront enterprise. The strategic impact is clear as robotics has become table stakes in large joints, and this acquisition closes Enovis' most notable competitive gap through formalizing its preexisting collaboration with eCential Robotics, the firm argues. The trade-off is that Enovis just showed its ability to generate improved free cash in Q2 so investors may now wonder whether the company has the cash flow discipline that was being asked of them given the higher leverage and working capital needs to bring a robotic system to market, says BTIG. In total, the firm views the acquisition as both offensive and defensive. Margins will take a step back in FY27, but BTIG acknowledges that current valuation is not giving Enovis much credit for the progress it was already making.
